Of course he will! Gandalf loves hobbits, and these two in particular. :-) What an amazing voyage. I could just picture it... Author Reply: Gandalf truly loves his hobbits, and always will.

What a lovely glimpse of their lives in the West. Beautiful! Author Reply: Thank you! *beams* Bless the Professor for leaving us so many lovely gaps to fill.

It must be a grand sight indeed that makes hobbits forget their food. ;-) Lovely descriptions here of the land and sea. And I particularly liked the last passage, it was so very like Bilbo. Author Reply: I had a wonderful time trying to imagine Tol Eressea, and what Aman might look like from offshore. It's fun seeing everything through hobbity eyes. :)

This is delightful. I've read both parts, and I love the gentle, but exciting feeling for Frodo as he realizes bit by bit what the West is offering him -- whether it be realization of how healing is occuring, or glimpses of the lofty mountains of his dream long ago... This is vintage Shirebound. :) Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. This is truly what I wish for Frodo -- new vistas, old friends, and time to heal.

Very nice, shirebound! It's comforting, to see Frodo's contentment in Valinor. Thank you for a lovely story. WG Author Reply: Thank you very much! :D

“Never underestimate my Uncle Bilbo,” Frodo said firmly. “He’s the most remarkable hobbit who ever lived.” “One of them,” Elrond nodded. “One of them, to be sure.” Dear old Frodo! He's the humblest person I've ever known, and it's one reason why I like him so much. But I'm quite sure that he knows what Elrond meant by "them" ;-) That was a beautiful trip around the island with a glimpse of Aman and new insights into two remarkable hobbits. Baggins Babe is right, your stories always make me smile - and hers, too! Author Reply: Awwww, thank you. :) Bilbo lived in Rivendell for so long, I'm certain that Elrond -- and his entire household -- developed a deep respect and fondness for hobbits. How could they not? I'm very glad you enjoyed this little voyage. Aren't we lucky to be able to play in the Professor's sandbox, and have folks to share this with? Hobbits make me so happy.

Yes, ONE of the most remarkable of Hobbits born Bilbo is--and Frodo still fails to think of himself in that mode. Yes, he needs this time--and timelessness--both to find his own healing. Such a blessed gift for the two of them--and to know that Irmo has long blessed the two of them--and particularly Frodo. Author Reply: May Frodo be gifted with all the time he needs... as we know he will be. :)

Oh Shirebound, I can always rely on you to write stories guaranteed to make me feel happy. Frodo whooping with delight, Gandalf happy to stay around for as long as there are hobbits on Tol Eressa, and Elves surprised by hobbits...... Perfect! How wonderful that Frodo was able to see those mountains, and that he could do so in the company of Bilbo. I am sure that one day he will take Sam to see them too. Author Reply: Thank you so much. That's how I feel about your stories, as well. :) Oh yes, Sam needs to see those mountains, and also explore the exotic blooms on the western side of the island. That's a lovely thing to imagine.

What a lovely cruise! I quite envy Frodo and Bilbo seeing such sites from the beautiful Elven ship. Author Reply: I would very much like to join them on that cruise!

Part of his healing, he was realizing, was simply the gift of time... time to think, to sort through feelings and memories, to regain a sense of who he was, and who he was not. I love this and that he has joy again. Yea! He lost so much on the Quest and now he is gaining it back. He would indeed need much time and this is Iluvatar's gift to him, among the many other graces that have filled that beloved child. I am concentrating this year and next on saving money so I can quit my job and do the same thing - have time to sort through things and discover more who I am and why I am here. I love the idea that he dreamed of the mountains. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Oh Antane, I hope you attain your wonderful dream to gather up the time to discover 'yourself'. What a precious gift.
