| Silmarillion tales! :D This is lovely. I admire people who can write only 100 words and make a tale. Definitely a craft to it. Not many write Olwe either. Looking forward to the rest! | Ooh, daily Silm drabbles? What excitement! This one was a nice exposition of the Telerin sea-longing and the general desire to get closer to the holy light--something Olwe especially would want since he knows his brother has seen the Trees. Author Reply: I just can't see the Valar not wanting to interact with the Firstborn after waiting so very long to meet them. And since Olwe finds himself in a leadership role that he most certainly was not groomed for, it just seems appropriate to me for Ulmo to take things in hand and help him along. Hmmm. Olwe has a parallel in Arafinwe after the Rebellion of the Noldor... Arafinwe wasn't intended to be the King of the Noldor either. | |
