Laeglîr’s people remind me of the Hobbits; caught up in their own little world with not a care of what goes on beyond their borders. So they think their progress is moving along nicely, do they? Why do I have a hard time believing this? I just know someone is going to throw a “monkey wrench” into their plans. Author Reply: Hmm.... I never thought of that, but I think you're correct that they do have a hobbity outlook on life. As for the "monkey wrench"... one monkey wrench coming up. *LOL*

Hi Fiondil, Well, the intrigue continues. It seems to me that the Progress is walking through a hornet's nest no matter what they do or don't do. There are too many factions with their own agenda for this to be a truly safe venture, albeit many of the parties may be persuaded to open up a bit to some of the other groups of elves. I'll be waiting anxiously to see how you resolve this part of the story. I'm still hankering to know what's going on in Glorfindel's head. He's doing a good job of keeping Sador out of trouble--and quite a chore that's proving to be. But we don't hear much from him, and I'm sure he's making some sort of plan for after the Progress. Of course, who would he confide in? Grrr...but I really do have a lot of patience, and the suspense keeps me reading! *grin* Yes, things have been a bit too quiet. I can feel a slow smolder starting within Morcocáno. Only time will tell, I know! I just hope nothing, and no one, is irrevocably broken... Thanks Fiondil! Joanne Author Reply: Hi Joanne. GLorfindel is keeping things close to his chest for the nonce, knowing that the Progress takes precedence over personal agendas, but as soon as it is over with (and that will be soon enough) he will break away to do his own thing for a while. At any rate, we will see shortly what sort of hornet's nest the Amanians have actually walked into.

Well, what I can possibly say? Although, in my own way, I did give Ingwe and Arafinwe the benefit of a doubt. "lol" You know, I cannot pretend to be trustworthy about those matters, I'm already too "prejudiced", to say so, for that. But...me and my obsessions aside, some thoughts like the ones I expressed are very like to arise in the minds of the Tol Eresseans. And rightly so, in my opinion. I completely agree with the fact that Elves are not humans and they shouldn't be treated as such. Still, the Amanians' rights to interfere and to help the inhabitants of Tol Eressea should be earned, in my opinion, not to be taken for granted. Yes, even the initiative to help, from my point of view. Because it was a time when help from the mainland was sorely needed by the newcomers and I really don't know whether they received it or not. If they truly were left to fend for themselves as the poor (and tainted) relatives, then we have a problem and I don't think the race would make any difference in this case. This time, I do not accuse either Ingwe or Arafinwe (I wouldn't have had any compunction to say it loud and clear), I merely say that it may be a volcano simmering below the surface on Tol Eressea. And perhaps, not entirely without reason. I'm still expecting to be proved wrong and, in the meantime, I would prepare myself for a memorable review. Guess why? "lol" Author Reply: Actually your points are well taken and probably close to what happened. Why there was no help offered in the beginning or if the help was offered, why it was rejected, is something that will need to be addressed eventually. I think the fact that there was a lack of clear leadership among the islanders have made the situation fuzzy, to say the least. I get the impression that it was only when Laurendil came there and saw what was happening that he decided to take charge of the situation, hence the embassy and from that all else has flowed. Even Sador said that Tol Eressea was an explosion waiting to happen, and so you are not too far wrong there. Just what kind of explosion and in which direction remains to be seen.

As usual, I have a few not-so-pleasant comments in regard to everyone’s favorite Elves. “He is High King of All the Elves, after all.” After all, indeed. “lol” “Yet, Tol Eressëa is considered a part of Eldamar.” Well, someone could say to Ingwion that his father choses to act like the High King of All Elves only when it suits him. Likewise, Arafinwe might be suspected of having a personal agenda since he’s just remembered that Tol Eressëa is a part of Eldamar . One might ask why they didn’t come to say things like those in the beginning, when they set foot on an empty island to be treated like pest. Indeed, they weren’t supposed to infect the oh-so-pure inhabitants of Aman with their …presence. Hallowed land, that’s it. I surely can understand Morcocáno’s point of view. They have built for themselves a home and a lifestyle without anyone’s help (or I am mistaken? Did someone from Aman help them or they had to fend for themselves? If so, my apologies. If not….”frustrated sigh” For a reason, I cannot give them their proper medicine. All of it, I mean) and now some Amanians think they have the right to interfere only because they’re called Noldoran or Lindaran. It doesn’t work that way, in my opinion. And…why do I have the feeling that the things would soon blow up? Very soon. Well, if the author agrees, “lol”, the sooner, the better, in my view. Author Reply: Well Sitara, you don't seem willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt or an even break. *LOL* I won't defend either Ingwe or Arafinwe. Elves work on a different level from Mortals and their priorities are different. At any rate, you are correct that things are going to blow up very soon and in an unexpected direction. *evil grin* So, stay tune!

A propitous arrival, and good points made by all. May Laurendil have a reunion soon with his former hosts. Author Reply: Not sure if Laurendil will have a reunion with these people immediately but perhaps at some future point. Glad you agreed with what was said by the various parties. Thanks for reviewing, Larner. I really appreciate it and if we finally get our internet back (supposedly sometime next week) I will be able to read and review your stories as well.

Oh, dear... Here Morcocáno has invited the Amanian kings (and their entourage) over to wine and dine them, as well as the very top skimmings of Society in Avallóne (to witness him wining and dining the Kings, of course), and here he doesn’t get anything back for it!! The Kings – and the other _real_ notables from the mainland – squander their attention on nonentities, while _Morcocáno_ has to put up with being seated across from the unimportant Sador. Then there are gatecrashers – who are then invited to join the festivities by the Guests of Honor!! Let us hope his wounded pride doesn’t turn Morcocáno into an enemy. (And the Amanians’ dismissal of Avallóne as the possible future capital would certainly not help with that btw... not to mention the voting!!) “Let us hope we do not encounter any major problems in Kortirion.” Why do I get this sneaking feeling that this hope will not be realized? Author Reply: We will see in a few more chapter just how Morcocano deals with all of this. His pride and more has been wounded and he does not like what he is seeing. There are some surprising developments coming up in the next couple of chapters. As for Kortirion.... heh!

Glad Sador got that out of his system and made his peace with the Nandor. It seems they're not so bad, after all ;) Morcocáno obviously wasn't too happy that the Nandor included themselves in the party and the Amanians even welcomed them. To be honest, I enjoyed his discomfort, after he was so discourteous and quite arrogant. I know, I am a bad girl, but that one is really a bit too full of himself! “Let us hope we do not encounter any major problems in Kortirion,” Olwë rejoined. Hmmm ... why do I have the feeling that remark is calling for a disaster in Kortirion? Or am I becoming too suspicious? That chapter was interesting, and fun as well. Though I think Tavrobel will be much less of a problem than Avallónë ... Author Reply: Hi Kitty. We will see how Morcocano reacts to all that is going on soon enough. He is obviously not pleased with the way things are going and I think he will show his displeasure in some manner unbefitting an Elf-lord. As for being too suspicious.... not where I am concerned. *lol* But we will see how things turn outin Kortirion once we get there. The people of Tavrobel seem less pretensious than those of Avallone so they are more willing to look at the broad picture and work for the benefit of all, not just for the privileged few.

Atar Fiondil, I have decided I like the Nandor now. And they know Laurendil, yay! I am so glad! :) At least, I like these Nandor. Now, as for what the rest could be up to...and what's going to happen next? I can't wait! But I'll have to wait. *Sigh* Oh well. At least I know Finda, Glorfi, Beleg, and Sador can't die *again*...Namo would be Extremely Displeased. Tye-melin! Kaylee Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. You are correct that Namo would not be very happy if any of our intrepid heroes were to die again. *LOL* I am glad you like the Nandor or at least these Nandor. They are not that bad, just a bit insular in their thinking. Thanks for reviewing. Hope school is going well for you.
