| The relationship between Earendil and his sons must have been rather heartbreaking, since he had to abandon them forever. Loved the image of Elrond riding out to find Aragorn - go,go, go! Author Reply: Oh yes, he had to abandon his sons so young, knowing that he's leaving for a journey that he probably won't return from... Now he can at least cheer with you: "Go Elrond!" | |

| Oh! I love Earendil's thoughts about Elrond! I've never been one to think it had been easy or simple for Earendil and Elwing to leave their small children behind-- I know it must have been agonizingly difficult. And I really do love the idea that perhaps Elrond's foresight has let him know where his foster-son is! Author Reply: Thank you very much, I'm glad that you like my interpretation of Earendil's thoughts. Yes, it had to be very, very difficult, to leave their sons behind when going to a jurney that they won't return from... Earenil thought at least that Elwing is with them, and Elwing had no choice... | Yes, oh yes, hold on, Aragorn! You've produced yet another interesting angle here. This is such a strange separation for father and son and completely unique. I enjoyed your glimpse at it from Earendil's POV very much. Author Reply: Thank you!
