I love the little mysteries scattered here and there throughout this fic. For example, after reading this chapter I can't but wonder why Inglor made Haleth climb into the tower unnecessarily. I almost suspect the whole thing was a ruse - a pretext for rubbing the oil of Lorien into her skin. I wonder if the oil, given its origin, suspends aging process or some such. This is but one mysterious moment of many. And if Inglor is actually Finrod, *then* I have a theory why he pursues Haleth - might be related to her ancestry :)

I've just started reading your story. I really like the character Haleth and the witty one liners leveled at Inglor. Loved the first chapter,I liked the way you opened the story with the walrus. Thank you for your submission.

I'm so behind in this! I had read up to here, but didn't have the chance to review... I wanted to let you know that I love how the tone's changed in this one. It all seems like twilight, like's getting old to Haleth as she's feeling old herself, so it's kind of been there, done that, bouth the t'shirt kind of stuff... and the strange images and sensations and presences as she climbs the solitary tower are powerful and perfectly fitting with the mood and tone. Since it's been some time since I read this, you can tell this is what remained with me, the sense of evening, her tiredness and midl exasperation and also her knowledge that things change for humans, even if they do not for elves. Author Reply: Thank-you, Perelleth. Things do change for humans and humans leave the Circles of the World to some unknown fate. But they can leave behind memories. Do the memories reside in the stones of the tower or is Haleth just frightening herself?

Yes, she said? I think I wouldn't be around Inglor for to long without becoming rather physical, I don't think I could take it.After all that he knew? I am left once again wanting to get into this elfs head, but I really don't think even if I did I would understand. Hugs The Imp P.S. But he soo wonderful. Author Reply: Thank-you for reviewing, ElflingImp. Poor Haleth. She could have said a great deal more. Most of it would have been profane. Maybe Inglor wanted her to say a bit more? We'll never know. He plays it very close to the chest. Thanks again. Haleth

Ooh! Inglor is being way too mysterious here. *LOL* He is one Elf I could cheerfully drown and I'm sure Haleth feels the same way. So what is our Elf up to, hmmm? Hope we find out soon and I hope you never stop writing about these two. They're too much fun and I look forward to every new chapter and story. Author Reply: Thank-you, Fiondil. There's way more to this story yet. I hope the characters don't wear out their welcome by the end of it. Inglor is really infuriating. He has reasons for the things he does. He just never bothers to share them with anyone else.
