| Nice to know how wrong - and right in some ways - that the Gaffer is. Where in Middle-earth would we be if Sam's heart wasn't tied to the young master? | The Gaffer sees a lot of what is in Frodo....and fears for his son. Sam's heart sees even more clearly and allows him to accept whatever tying his heart to Frodo's will mean for his future.
