| Awwwww. Very nice! I love the way you capture Beregond's soldierly toughness and his friendship with Pippin, and the soldierly spirit of the Men of Gondor after the great victory, the way the other soldiers join the guard around Pippin's tent is marvelous... Author Reply: Thanks! Despite the fact that Pippin has more than proved himself a soldier of Gondor, I think all these stern men's paternal instincts would still kick in. I hope Pippin isn't overwhelmed when he wakes up! | |

| Oh, wonderful! *Applauds* I admit I was thinking at the beginning that Beregond was Pippin and I loved the element of surprise you wove into that! A truly perfect pov, who better than the one Pippin saved from certain death? I love the ending too, how carefully and stubbornly Beregond guarded the tent really showed his love for his friend. Wow, I can't imagine taking on so many requests at once! You are amazing!! And thank you very much for my story, I do love it!! *Hugs* Author Reply: I was wondering whether anyone would think that! XD I can never stand to take the same take on events as anyone else, so it made sense to look at things from Beregond's perspective. To be fair, I did have a month to work on all the requests! And I think it's a lot easier to work on a bunch of separate ficlets than work on the same number of words in the same fic--if you get stuck on one, you can turn to another! | Ooh! Beregond! What a perfect POV for this one! And I love his response and that of the other members of the Company! Yes, they'd guard one of their own, most especially *that* one! Beautiful! Author Reply: I haven't seen too many troll injury fics that involved Beregond, so I thought it'd be fun to make him the PoV character. The guard just kind of fell into place after that, without my asking for it! | |

| Wonderful! I'm sure Cathleen will enjoy as much as I did! I especially loved Beregond's concern for Pippin, it really shone through in everything! Yay, Beregond, and oh, I am SO glad Pip made it, too! Of course, he had to. Slight possible quibble at the end, though..."the only tent less looked after was the King's." Didn't you mean "the only tent *more* looked after"? As in, the only tent that was guarded more? Or did I misconstrue your meaning? Kaylee Arafinwiel Author Reply: Thanks for catching that!
