Blast! But what good the Light here, in the heart of Sauron's own domain? Or does he plan to break the glass and use the shard? Author Reply: Hello again, m'dear Larner! very good question. What could the seemingly powerless Phial do in the heart of darkness? Well, Sam knows what he hopes it will do, and I know 'cos he told me; so if you want to find out, the next chapter is now up and may give you some answers :) I'll give you a hint, though - he's no, Sam! Geroff me! Mmf mmf mmf - fine! I won't tell her. Happy now? Crikey! Mad hobbit! ... Thanks for R & R-ing, M ;)

Very good! It would not have felt right if Sam had bitten Frodo's finger off like Gollum. At least Sam has remained the sensible hobbit he always was. (Not that Frodo is responsible for the state he is in! That's all the Ring's doing.) So, he's trying to use the Phial of Galadriel against the Ring? In the darkest of all places where Sauron's power is strongest? That is going to be very interesting!
