| Wow. I caught up a few days ago but had to give it time and then come back to re read. It's like two absolutely different stories to me, form the moment she almost dies onwards. First, I never saw this coming, so perhaps I missed signals, so it all unsettled me and left me kind of disoriented. Then, it's quite a switch, from a wanderer with a name full of heavy connotations to a descendant from the House of Earendil... never expected it. I'm looking forward to seeing good old Haleth shake off the the haze. Anyway, it's a very good trick, and I quite like the genealogy. Looking forward to th e ending. Author Reply: It does feel like two different stories, doesn't it? There will be at least one or two more before it ends. Maybe I should learn more about basic story structure and present things as seperate stories rather than one long tale? As for the genealogy, I was trying to think of a way to mirror Earendil's voyage. According to the Alkalabeth, Amandil did sail West to beg for help. Obviously his request (if he ever managed to present it) was denied. For some reason, those few sentences stuck in my head and this story grew out of them. Thank-you for reviewing. Haleth | |

| Dear Haleth I have reread the story,and holding my breath for the next installement. Iam still confused with the last three chapters but thats alright it goes with my consant state of confusion in mind and home. Iam throughly enjoying the story please finish it soon. I tend to assume that everyone else knows what's going on because I know what's going on...except there's a lot of extra information that no one but me knows. | I am fascinated by this back story for Haleth, no, Silmariën; is she really that old or has she somehow got someone else's memories? Or can she be the first of the second-born to have been re-housed like the first-born? Each chapter brings more and more questions - exactly as a really good story should! And now her arm hurts again... Author Reply: Thanks, curiouswombat. I wasn't sure how the revelations would go over. Those are really good questions about her memories.
