| O excellent! This sums up Merry (who has always been my favourite hobbit, though perhaps not obvious), very well indeed. Author Reply: I don't know that he's my favorite--I tend to love our lads pretty much equally (all five of them, for I include Bilbo)--but I have to say Merry has been the easiest for me to get to know! His POV comes to me much more quickly than does that of the others! I'm glad you liked this! | |

| Wow! This is just perfect! Merry's impetuous action saved Eowyn's life and made them both heroes. There is really nothing to regret. Author Reply: Of course there's nothing to regret, and Merry wouldn't. But I think perhaps he still wonders within himself, in surprise that he did it. Those of us who "know" him, of course, are not in the least surprised, for we know how gallant and brave he was all along! | |

Author Reply: I was so busy with the B2MEM fics, that I completely forgot to add this one from the monthly challenges! I'm glad you still enjoy it-- it's brief, but I think it's Merry. | |
