Cucualinde certainly has her head screwed on right, in that she does not start head-butting with Finrod. And I wonder if her not being impressed with Lady Almáriel's seamstress might have just a _teeeny_ little bit to do with the colors Lady Almáriel (or her seamstress) came up with? Rose and yellow-green! Those are perfectly nice colors (in small amounts, at least) but together? They would be a guarantee that the ever-inventive Noldor would invent sunglasses (and make them suddenly fashionable at the wedding, too, no doubt!) And anyway, Finrod's friend Morwen would no doubt want nothing to do with such a combination of colors. He did after all promise Morwen that she would do his wedding clothes, and we all know what Finrod is like where oaths (and presumably also promises) are concerned! Terendulë is definitely a smart cookie! Getting the responsibility for the decorations for the royal wedding, and _not telling anybody about it_! And her reasoning is certainly sound, and Glorfindel shows that he understands it, with his little story about one catfight about one detail at Idril's wedding! And the low-key approach to the consultation the gardener suggested made it clear the two of them understood one another. :-D And a good thing that Terendulë insisted that she had not made ani decisions yet because she wanted input from _Lady Amarië_ (and specificially _not_ her mother!) Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Well at least Cucualindë's not hostile. As to what she thinks about it all, is anyone's guess. I like the idea of the Noldor inventing sunglasses out of self-preservation. And these are the people who can look into the heart of the sun without blinking or damaging their retinae. LOL! Terendulë is very smart and knows her own mind. She's not afraid of anyone, nor is she easily impressed. She will be a good ally to Finrod in the weeks to come and her husband is cut from the same cloth. Thanks for reading and reviewing. And it is quite nice they do have that ally. Now, to speak with the cook, which should prove interesting. As for the musicians--well, they will be having their comeuppance, I'd think. And I suspect Morwen will prepare gorgeous robes for Fiondil to wear! Delightful! Author Reply: But I'm not the one getting married, Larner. LOL! I think you meant "Finrod". Hey there! I just wanted to let you know that I am still reading all your stories. But as much as I love In Darkness Bound (I think I could happily throttle Ingoldo), it is more fun to have Finrod and Glorfindel back together and causing mischief! I can't wait to see what Finrod does to that Head Cook. ;) I was also curious about something. Do you write the entire story out first, edit it, then post it; or do you figure it out as you go along? It all flows so nicely that I'm kinda betting on the first option. Anyhow, keep up the good work! Author Reply: Hi Little Mouse. I'm glad you are still reading my stories, even In Darkness Bound, and, of course, this story is a nice light-hearted change of pace from that one. We'll see just what happens when Finrod confronts the Head Cook in the next chapter. As for your question... with multi-chapter stories, depending on the scope of the story, I will write several chapters before I start posting anything. With Darkness, for instance, I'd been writing it for a year and a half before I posted the first chapter and was still writing it for another 7 months before I finished it, though I am still posting chapters and will continue to do so until the end of November. With Wedding, I had 10-12 chapters written before I posted chapter 1 and I am presently working on chapter 15, so I will actually finish the story before I finish posting all the chapters. And while everyone is readin Darkness and Wedding through the summer and fall, I'll be working on another multi-chapter story that will see the light of day (please God) in December. Anyway, thanks for letting me know how much you love my stories. I really appreciate it.

Dying and being reborn seems to have a strange influence on certain Elves. Breaking into the Queen's rooms and stealing papers isn't what you'd usually call proper, after all. So far that sounds at least reasonable - find out what has been finalized and what still has to be decided. Sounds nearly too simple, considering who is involved. blinks Rose and yellow-green? Uh ... if they went through with this, they will need to hand out sunglasses to the guests! To be honest, I can't say I like the idea. Poor Finrod, and poor Amarië. I wonder if at least she had any say in the matter, or if Almariel is deciding over her the same way as they are doing with Finrod? (Or trying, rather - the former King of Nargothrond isn't one to be bossed around) Hallacar and his wife could be a big help, if Finrod can convince them to listen to him instead of anyone else. As for the encounter with the head cook ... I think Vondo is right, His Highness the Prince will not be pleased with her :D Oh, I like Terendulë! When she said she doesn't care what Almáriel wants, she had won me over, totally! And how I have to wait another week for Finrod putting that cook in her place pouts But Vorondil and his ginger biscuits left me laughing. Can't wait for more! Author Reply: Hi Kitty. I guess dying and being reborn allows one the luxury of being less... proper, and "but I'm a Reborn" is such a handy excuse. LOL! I doubt Amarië is having any more say about the wedding than Finrod. I'm sure the color combination is Almáriel's idea of high fashion. And I think the wait to see Finrod put the Head Cook in his place will be worth it. grin Thanks for reading and reviewing. Well at least Finrod has a couple of allies when it comes to the wedding plans, people who are willing to take his wishes into consideration at least. I am sorry, but the mix of colours chosen for his wdding clothes sounds like something the cat brought up after eating something she shouldn't! Let's hope Morwen can come through, she only has seven weeks after all and we both know embroidery takes a lot of time to be done well. I think I have an idea of how Finrod will handle the music selection and I can't wait to see his confrontation with the Head Cook, sounds like he needs taking down a peg or two! Allies are good and you can never have enough of them. grin As for the color scheme for the wedding garb... our sensibilities don't necessarily match up with those of other cultures and races.
