| The chapter title isn't exactly comforting, you know ... again! I liked these discussions about the Reborn, their experiences and development, how they are different from each other and from their former selves. Yes, it all sounds very likely. Ouch. I knew something was going to happen, but had that idiot not only to recognize Nolofinwë, but run out and scream it out to the masses? I was really worried when the two Reborn were panicking, but Ingwion did a great job in protecting them and getting through to these idiots. And I was really pleased when Nolofinwë got over his panic so fast and acted the way he did. He can be very proud of himself, considering how newly released he was. The end had me snickering when he went back to elfling mode – but it should drive the point home that he's nowhere near ready to rule anyone! Author Reply: Nolofinwë has a long way to go but he can rise to the occasion when the situationo demands it and in going into elfling-mode when he did he protected not only himself but Findecáno from those who would want to make them kings all over again. | And I thought the British Monarchy had issues, jeez. I think at the end of this wedding everyone will breathe a very audible "Nasie!". I do want to thank you for the wonderful glimpse into being a "reborn". very fascinating to say the least. I don't know a lot of the background on the characters but your portrayal of many of them is memorizing to say the least. ***sighs*** how many more days before the wedding? Author Reply: Hi Eliza. They are indeed very fascinating and I enjoy writing them and seeing the different ways in which they react. No two Reborn seem to react quite the same way. | Wow!! Nicely done Nolofinwe. He was right too. By acting like an elfling, he not only showed the People exactly what Ingwi was trying to tell them, but also protected his sons as well. Very well done indeed. Glorfy's right of course. Arafinwe more than likely does already know what has happened, but they still need to let him know about it. Even so...Why on Arda didn't a Maia appear when the riot got so close to the tipping point? Ingwi's not the only one puzzled about that one. Sigh...And now, I need to go back to sorting fake gemstones. I make circlets and tiaras and I got four boxes of assorted fake gems for a dollar each at the Dollar Store when I was in Sudbury for appts Monday. However, they're all shapes, sizes and colours, therefore the need to sort them. I just wish I knew what I could do w/the teeny tiny ones that were also in these boxes. They're far too small for my purposes and I haven't the foggiest idea what to do w/them. Anyway...I needed a break and now I need to go back to sorting. Can't wait for next week and whatever happens next. :oD Author Reply: Hi Tigger. I'm glad you liked how Nolofinwë handled the situation. And just as there's never a cop when you need one, there's never a Maia. *grin* And I'm sure if the situation had turned really ugly Manwë would've ordered his Maiar to step in, but the Valar really would prefer the Elves to solve their own problems without the Valar constantly acting as referees. Sorting fake gemstones. Now, I should've had Arafinwë do that for Varda rather than the buttons. LOL! I'm sure you'll think of something to do with the tiny ones. If you know people who like to construct fairy houses, a common motif is to have something shiny hanging on the house somewhere to attract the fairies. | I suppose Finrod has a right to feel haunted, with all that has happened with the wedding - like that wedding outfit! *shudders* Not to mention frazzled, stressed out and just about insane. ;-) It sounds as in Nolofinwë had his moments in Mandos when he was making life interesting for Námo and the Maiar. I wonder if he was as good at that as a certain Dynamic Duo? Him being sent to his room, and that comment he overheard certainly sounds like he might have been! I like Nolofinwe's reaction to the crowd once he got over his fright - and especially his reaction to the ellon who insisted that since Nolofinwë was older than Arafinwë, he had to be the Noldoran. He knows well that he is not ready for such a responsibility, though he will probably be king again when the people from Tol Eressëa - especially his former liegemen - begin to move to the mainland in large numbers. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. I'm sure Nolofinwë and others gave Námo and his Maiar many moments of... interest. *grin* Nolofinwë's reaction was just the right touch to diffuse an awkward situation. Showing the people of Tirion just how much of a Reborn he is makes a better impression than Ingwion just saying so. I'm sure that the Valar's plans to open the southern parts of Valinor open to the Elves for colonization is in recognition that all these loyalties will clash as each king is released from Mandos. I can see Nolofinwë or maybe Findecáno setting off in a few centuries to found their own kingdom with those of their former subjects who wish to leave Tol Eressëa for the mainland. | Well, it was expected. He was their King, and that is the reaction from Tirion, imagine the reaction from the island, it will be a real riot. I'm very impressed with Nolofinwe, he is really acting more mature than any reborn that we know. He was such a great and heroic King. And Finrod...I almost cry when he die. He was the last of the family that keep Maedros' sanity, what a lost to the Elves. Very proud of Nolonfinwe's loyalty to his brother, but that too is expected. I did my homework, I already re read Elf Academy, I'm waiting....I wish Finrod meet Glorfindel again, Glorfy really, really miss and need him. Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Nolofinwë is very heroic and that part of him easily comes to the surface in spite of his elfingish ways. Which is a good thing for him and others. Glad you've re-read Elf Academy. We'll see if Finrod and Glorfy meet again in the sequel. I know a lot of readers were wishing it were so. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate you doing so very much. | |

| Uh, oh! Trouble is brewing. This ellon wanting to have Nolofinwe back as King for principles sake cannot be the only one. The Kings of Aman better think of how to handle the situation with all the Kings that will be released. (How many are there? I lost count). It may be several centuries (as we count) until Nolofinwe and Findecano are ready to take up kingship again, but the elves life forever. There is bound to be some friction. Life in Aman is becoming more and more "interesting". Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. I think the ellon is in the minority but the minority can be very vocal and can cause quite a bit of trouble. I'm sure Arafinwë will have his people keeping an eye on things, but Nolofinwë and his sons giving him their fealty will go a long way towards diffusing the situation.
