Ah. Frodo finds healing in... perhaps in the act of bringing healing of some sort? Looking forward to more, when next I have some time to read. Author Reply: That's definitely part of it. Ulmo brought Boromir here for a specific purpose and as you read more and they wonder about it themselves, it slowly reveals itself. Hope you continue to enjoy! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

"heartson" -- what a lovely word! It appears that Frodo is finding healing in the retelling -- in a sense, Boromir is bringing him healing, just by his silent presence, another way to repay his debt. Interesting premise! Author Reply: Thank you! (Or thank Agape for asking it to be continued and all the plot bunnies that came) :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Reading this chapter again stirs me as it did the first time. I marvel at the beauty and the profundity of feeling you share. Hands were an important part of the first movie. So much so that I wrote a small series of drabbles about Boromir and hands. You have proclaimed the touch of a hand with depth and beauty. Ah. I so love this chapter. Author Reply: You honor me - so glad you are enjoying! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: My dear harrowcat, what a joy to have a review from you!! *does Precious dance* I hope to live up to everyone's expectations. Hantanyel for your kind words! A good thing that Ulmo saw to it that this small boat managed to come here, and Frodo found in its company to lay aside, bit by bit, his own fears and griefs. Author Reply: Ulmo certainly knew what he was doing in allowing Boromir to come here for the same reason Frodo and Bilbo did. Boromir is going to find another 'little brother' and he and Frodo are going to be very good for each other. In some ways I know how this unique and beautiful love story is going to develop because of the plot bunnies I've already had and in others, I know it's going to surprise me and I look forward to that! “Till he came, and then you with more of our kindred, we did not have any faces to put with the reports that came to us.” What an interesting point. This is such a creative story. Author Reply: Thank you so much, my dear! I'm anxious to see how it's all going to play out - it will be fun to play in this sandbox. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I am going to catch up. Slowly, probably, but I will, and I hope to get to your e-mail tomorrow! :) This title immediately caught my eye, because I read this book years ago and loved it. I must say, you did a better job at writing a story to suit the title than Lewis himself. This is my favorite: Sometimes he thought he came to this silent place to be alone, to be away, to be with the one person whose forever stilled lips could not praise him. Here was one who had fallen to the lure of the Ring as he had, someone who would understand his torment, perhaps the only one who truly could. Other times he came just to be with another from Middle-earth, a reminder of home, a way he could pretend for a little while that he was not unimaginably far away but close enough to touch someone who had walked some of the same paths he had. Of course, he had Bilbo for that too, but sometimes, the very familiarity of his uncle reminded him more of what he had lost than the joy of their reunion. Boromir did not pierce him sharply with either of those and it was by the man’s side Frodo found a deeper peace than he found anywhere else. That passage represents one of the most realistic and in-character ranges of emotion I've ever seen attributed to Frodo in fanfiction. Excellent, excellent job, my dear! Author Reply: Le hannon, ammelda! So glad to hear from you. I am beginning to fret you hadn't gotten my email but I know you've been busy. Glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Piptane :) *hugs*

What a tremendous tale. Great imagination. Dearest Frodo at his best and dearest Boromir at his quietest. LOL Really and outstanding tale. PS - you do know I'm hoping for a second chapter.... or an epilogue where a certain Man recovers..... :) Author Reply: Thank you so much! I hadn't been planned a sequel, but since you asked you nicely... You can't recover from death, but what if Aragorn just thinks Boromir died and the signs of life that Frodo fancies he sees are not fancies after all. Hmmm.... :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
