| “Remember Merry that we are still within the protected borders of Rivendell. I feel perfectly safe here." -- I hope we're not in for a What could possibly go wrong? moment.... "Half of each" sounds at best, nasty-tasting -- and at worst, ominous. I hope they're not poisoning him! Will they be able to get it down his throat while he's still under the influence of the poppy and unable to taste it? At least Frodo's shoulder should be getting better. And Aragorn's resting. Author Reply: I thought it sounded like what a lot of people would self medicate...but Aragorn will be all right, after the gulp is over, that is. You'll see in the next chapter.
