A really good start! I look forward to more of these; Scholarly!Frodo is always fun to read about!

Author Reply: His studies will be--varied, you'll find! Heh!

What fun!

(Read this aloud to one of the young hobbits and she squeaked in surprise and pleasure, in complete agreement with me, and Frodo, taking pleasure in books. Reminds me of my grandfather's library, my refuge and abode when we visited Grandma's house.)

What a lovely idea, an Advent calendar, with a snippet to look forward to every day!

Author Reply: I missed the There and Back Again community's prompts last year, so did my own, and have done so again this year. No counting this time--Frodo studying by the alphabet instead. Now--will my rather mad schedule allow me to continue? That is the question!

B is for beautiful.

Author Reply: Thanks so, Harrowcat. And a well-filled bookshelf is indeed a thing of beauty.

I love the smell and sight of books as much as Frodo. And I'm sure Bilbo feels equally blessed to have such an eager student.

Author Reply: As do I--or I wouldn't have as many as I do! I've had to buy houses to fit my personal library, as my husband and I used to do so to fit the bar he bought from his former brother-in-law. And Bilbo must have been challenged to keep up with Frodo's eagerness to learn.

And B is for books! (Along with everything else I rambling-ly listed...) and Buckland! Hehe, of course! And Beleriand! Talk about glaring omissions...So is this Bag End (another B, lol) then?

Author Reply: Oh, yes, Bag End as well. Now, to get this posted elsewhere!
