Well, I can't blame Alex for not wanting to open that envelope at all. It's just going to cause trouble. Like it that Derek called Alex 'gwador'. It seems so fitting for these two even after this relatively short time. Great of Derek to think to check the authenticity of the document, though I don't know if I should be happy with the result or not. All I can say is that I don't like it, and even less after Alex explaining how he's going to be blamed in any case. What Farrell needs is a heart-to-heart with the Lord of Mandos, if you ask me. He's a danger to society. Derek made some interesting points about the validity of the termination order. That sounds like a way to get them out of that dilemma, even though Farrell is probably not inclined to listen. But it may come in handy later on to the higher-ups, who knows? Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Alex needs someone like Derek as his gwador, that's for sure. He's never really had one and Derek is very good for him in ways he doesn't yet appreciate as we will see as the story progresses. And Derek is proving very helpful in other ways as we see here. Is reason is sound as well and hopefully it will be useful in the future. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. It's greatly appreciated.

Derek is smart. The Elves and Alex are lucky that he's on their side, otherwise everyone would have thought that termination order real. I wish Alex contacted Maddy and told her everything Farrell has done, it might make her believe that this whole operation had been Farrell's personal revenge on McKinley masked as a hunt for a former agent who happened to look like McKinley. Author Reply: Derek is indeed smart and both Alex and Elves are very lucky to have him on their side. Well, Alex has contacted Maddy (he mentions that fact in one of the chapters after the botched kidnapping) but whether Maddy is getting his emails or plans to do anything about them is another matter. We'll find out eventually what's up with both Maddy and Farrell. Thanks for the review, obsidianj. It's greatly appreciated. Author Reply: Oops! I meant, thanks for the reivew, someone. Sorry about that.

How many times have I asked for Farrell to have a nice little accident? Now he stoops to forgery. It's a clever little game he plays. No matter what Alex does, Farrell gets rid of him and Amroth. At least that's what he thinks... But he forgot Derek. I like his reasoning. It may give our heroes the ideas they need to avert this plot. Things start moving and I hope I can read the new chapter tomorrow. Author Reply: You and everyone else, obsidianj. *grin* But that would be too easy, now, wouldn't it? And of course, he doesn't even know about Derek, which is the Elves' saving grace. Thanks for commenting. It's greatly appreciated.

ok, I think am worried about all of the elves, I am worried about people finding the elves' DNA all over the world. I hope Alex can help the elves out. Author Reply: Hi Calenlassiel. I wouldn't worry too much about that and I'm sure Alex will be very helpful to the Elves as we will see as the story continues. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Wow...I haven't gotten to review your story, but tensions are really cranking up...Some pretty scary stuff to think about. I can't help but wondering if Farrell was told about the Elves' "freaky mind powers" by his little henchmen before he did them off. How would he react to that...I suppose the Elves could have made them forget, but... And, on a positive note, it's nice that Alex and Derek are gwedyr. I really think that Alex needed a friend. Oh, and also, we haven't seen Zach for a while. He isn't the star of this story, I know, but I rather like him. What is he up to? Whispy Author Reply: Hi Whispy. Yes, the tension is increasing. I have no idea if his henchmen got a chance to tell Farrell their story before they were killed. Maybe yes, maybe no. We may never know. Alex definitely needs a friend and Derek will prove to be a good one. We'll actually see Zach later. He has a minor, but important role to play in this story yet. Thanks for taking the time to comment. It's greatly appreciated.

Amazing chapter. I was sure Amroth would have to go under deep cover. Very glad Derek was around and had the sense not to jump to conclusions. Not that I blame Alex. It's been a real roller coaster ride for the poor man. Author Reply: Amroth refuses to run and hide anymore, not after having finally found other Elves and the love of his life after all these long millennia. Derek is very level-headed and is proving to be a great asset to Alex and the Elves. Alex has indeed been on a roller coaster ride and it isn't over with yet. *grin* Thanks for taking the time to read and review, Apage. I really appreciate it.

Farrell is really pushing his luck here. I fear that in the end it will be he who will be terminated with prejudice. And we still need to learn who is the one behind this attack on the Academy and Amroth. Author Reply: He is indeed pushing his luck here, Larner. We'll see how it comes out eventually. Thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate it very much.

Go Derek! Fresh eyes are always a good thing, and Derek is proving himself to be invaluable. How did Alex get along without him all those years?! Sounds like they've got a good plan (but we all know how badly the best-laid plans can go awry...) Now to get Amroth and Nimrodel safely ensconced somewhere for a few years. Author Reply: Derek is proving himself very invaluable to the Elves and he will be more invaluable as time goes on. And, of coure, plans can go awry. Hopefully, theirs wont' go to badly. Thanks for leaving a review, Lyana. I very much apprecite it.
