First, I can't believe I've missed these chapters! I don't know where my mind is cause usually I wake up on the morning of the postings and sit by my computer. Must have been an especially stress-filled week. As I read about the humans, Calbe and Nicole and them, I got very worried about Farrell. I hope he doesn't decide to strike innocents. And then you speak of those innocents on the tours and I cringe. Stupid Farrell. Wish they could catch him and tie him up somewhere! I'm writing a book at the moment with a character with a kind of split personality. As I read this chapter, I felt for you. It's very hard to write two people who inhabit one body. You do an awesome and excellent job! I'm very glad Alex spent some time with Ron. I think it helped. And now I'm biting my nails over what / who / why the phone call. Thankfully - *giggles gleefully* - I don't have to wait. It's sitting there waiting for me! For me! Author Reply: Hi Agape. Farrell is a pretty dangerous dude and we'll see what he ends up doing. Ron has been very helpful to Alex and will continue doing so. Is this the same book you were writing before or a different one? I can't keep track. *grin* Thanks for reading and reivewing. It's always appreciated.

*snort* Elrohir and Serindë are way too old to need chaperones, IMO. In our times, that's more than old-fashioned. It's funny when Glorfindel wants to teach the Valinorean Elves about modern times and then acts like they were millennia back in time himself. Hm, now you have me worried about Alex again. Derek can read him rather well, after all. And from the looks of it, he has Alex rather well in hand. To be honest, I don't think it is stupid that Alex is planning the tour with Farrell in mind. Actually, I had been thinking about that that guy is crazy enough that he would attack anyone, families with children included, if he thinks he can get back at Alex. And Alex would be hampered with protecting the Mortals and maybe not able to hit back adequately. It would probably be a good idea to have him trailed by Elves ... To get away for a few days sounds like a good idea. Risk or not, Alex in particular needs a break and time to unwind, and it will distract them a bit from the upcoming tests. Though that phone call at the end was a bit ominous. Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Oh well, some customs die harder than others and the Elves are pretty traditional in their views. *grin* Alex's planning the tour as he did is indicative of how he can incorporate the skills and knowledge he's garnered over the years as a spy for other types of jobs that have nothing to do with spying. Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

The title of this chapter is fitting. They are biding their time. I was wondering already in the last chapter if elves are very fast learners. They are generally exceptional at nearly everything, but they usually had hundreds of years to perfect anything they do. Learning a new language/dialect in a couple of weeks is something else. This time, they don't have millennia. Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Yes, they are all biding their time here as Elf Academy gears up for the final exam tours. Since the Elves already have a knowledge of English, it will be easy for them to drop the Shakespearean forms for the modern ones. Even the Three Amigos have begun doing so after simply being around Alex and Derek and their friends for the last week or so. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

The plot thickens. Who was Vorondur talking to she wonders? Can't wait for the next chapter. Author Reply: The plot thickens, indeed, Tari. I suspect Vorondur was talking with either Amroth or Glorfindel, but we probably will never know for sure. Thanks for commenting. I apprecitae it very much.

A bit early this week, are we? Good plans to distract themselves with the trip, and looking in on the two ellith. And I suppose it's Amroth who wants to keep an eye on Alex--I hope so, at least. Although I'm sure a few Maiar will be doing so as well. Armed or not--a question that needs deep consideration in this case. Now--to search out Farrell. Author Reply: The reason for posting an extra chatper this week will be made clear next week, Larner. And most likely it is Amroth who wants to keep an eye on Alex and Derek, though we don't know for sure just based on the conversation and I'm sure at least one Maia will go along for the ride. *grin* Thanks for leaving a comment. It's much appreciated.

Findalaurė has to learn that even though he is an elf, that doesn't mean he will be a big expert on everything under the sun. But I suppose he will cheer up a bit when some of the older Elves is completely stuck when trying to use a tech to and he, the "teenager" is able to rescue the clueless oldster. Just like among Mortals. So Derek is able to perceive when it is Artemus in the driver's seat, and when it is Alex. I suppose that can be useful. And speaking of useful, it looks as if Artemus is a great tour planner - which means that he can be useful after all. ;) Vorondur's phone call is making me very suspicious, you know. I hope Alex and Derek's little pleasure jaunt won't be ruined by any unexpected surprises. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. That's very true - no one can be an expert on everything, not even an Elf. I imagine Findalaurė's self-esteem will go up when one of the older Elves asks for his help with something. Artemus being a great tour planner should be an asset not only with respect to Elf Academy but also in other areas of interest should he eventually remain in Wiseman to help the Elves. We'll see how Alex and Derek's little jaunt goes in the next chapter, which will be posted on Friday as usual. Thanks for reviewing, Sunny. I always appreciate it.

Well, another sort of moving along chapter! I am with Ron when it comes to Artemus/Alex, it is almost as if he is suffering from a kind of multiple personalty problem,if he could drop out of the Academy right now it would solve a lot of problems, but, then again it might cause more, right at the moment he has some thing to focus on, his tour and that may be the only thing keeping him going at the moment! Hay, Lawrance, I am not the greatest with computers but I get there! Hang in there kid, it will come to you! Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Yeah, this is something of a filler until the action heats up again. Dropping out of the Academy would not really solve the underlying identity problem Alex is facing. It is almost like a multiple personality syndrome except he is always aware of both personalities, rather than just one. It's more a need to let go of the darker aspects of Artemus and hang on to the skills and knowldege which he has accumulated over the last 15 or so years that can benefit the Elves and their mission. And, like you and Lawrence, I'm not that great with computers either, but I get there and he will, too. *grin* Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

What? A chapter on Wednesday? You know, I'm so used to a new chapter on Monday or Friday that my first thought was that I had somehow mistaken the day *grin*. This was a very nice but worrying chapter. If Farrell tries something during the exam, the test family is in real danger because he wouldn't hesitate to put a bomb under their car, just to get rid of Alex. And if Alex sees Farrell, it's going to get ugly, especially if they are both armed. Perhaps they could have a few elves shadow Alex and the test family, I'm sure that the Legolases and Beleg and the others would be able to deal with Farrel without the people at the exam knowing. Author Reply: The reason for this chapter being posted today (and I will post a chapter on Friday) will become clear next week. To explain now would spoil things. This is a worrying chapter, to be sure. We will see if Farrell does try anything while Alex is testing. Thanks for reviewing, someone. I appreciate it.
