Just realised how long I truly didn't review – sorry! And I know, I owe you emails, too. Work is still quite the nuthouse, but one gets used to it, so I will try to get at least a few chapters done. At first I was annoyed Farrell and his goons got out of the cave, but then I realised it's for the better, because there's no cover and the danger of ricochets is too high. And their reception committee is waiting already anyway. Someone not knowing who Robin Hood was sounds funny. If he had existed, I wonder if one of the Wiseman Elves would have known him personally, too. With them, you never know. That was a pretty stupid idea of Amroth to just walk out there. Nimrodel won't be pleased with him, either! Poor Finrod, that must have hurt quite a bit, not to mention the shock. But maybe it has one advantage – to show the Valinorean Elves what a gun can do and how dangerous they are. Still, I'd have preferred for one of the goons to take the hit. To see Maddy here is certainly unexpected, but personally I think she is the one who has a lot of explaining to do. And I sincerely hope she does *not* get Farrell off scot-free! *raises brow* Finrod wants to hold court? I don't know ... that seems pretty out of place (and time) here, and he has no legal rights there. Besides, I can't blame Dave for being angry, either. The Elves do way too much behind his back or try to keep him out of the case and from doing his job. Admittedly, I enjoyed it how at the end Amroth and Alex refused to go with Maddy. Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Glad to hear from you. I can sympathesize about work being crazy. Anyway, Amroth was pretty stupid and it almost got Finrod killed. If that had happened, there would've been another kinslaying among the Elves with Glorfindel in the front. Maddy has much to answer for. And we'll see about Finrod holding court in a later chapter. He has to survive hospital first. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Well and good. Everyone accounted for. Now - on to the question of how to deal with and what to do with Farrell. If they can find Mt. Doom, my vote is to cast him into the fiery pit. *g* I loved the conflict between Michaelson and Maddy. I think, in the long run, that Homeland Security has authority over most anything / anyone. However, I cannot but give authority to Finrod. But I'm prejudiced. Yes, he is a foreigner in a foreign land, so to speak, but the grievance is against him and those he loves. In some lands, the victim is given the right of judgment. I think it's that way in Valinor, too. I'm sure that's not what will happen, but that's my vote. As for the entire lot, except Maddy and her employees, I think they all could use a long vacation with Este. Just my humble opinion. Author Reply: Hi Agape. While Maddy certainly has the weight of authority, she's on shaky ground and Michaelson won't let her get away with things, not in his jurisdiction. At the same time, Finrod, being Finrod, has a lot of clout. We'll see how it all works out. At the moment, he's going to be too busy getting an insider's view of a Mortal hospital and he's not going to like it, at all, at all. *grin* And I think even Maddy could use a long vacation with Estë, or at least a slice of her 'homemade' pie. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I greatly appreciate it.

Woa, that were more people to the rescue than expected. Finally, Maddy showed up, only to muddle the waters more. Finrod's bringing in Valinor law was a nice twist, but Michaelson is right, this is not Valinor and humans have the say. Finrod needs to adjust his attitude. How they all get out of this fix without angering one or more of all involved, I leave to you. Can't wait for Monday. Author Reply: Hi obsidanj. There's quite a mess here on several levels. We'll be seeing how they figure it all out over the next several chapters. Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Poor Finrod! At least the Valinor Elves know now what kind of damage the bullets make. Alex' plans of trying to make Maddy believe that Amroth is not Ambrose won't work now. I wonder what Maddy is going to think of the Elves who have invaded Alaska...? Luckily the next chapter is coming in just two days, I can hardly wait. Author Reply: Hi someone. Yeah, Finrod has learned the hard way about guns and bullets. Now maybe the other Elves won't be so cocky about things. As for Maddy and what she thinks of all this, we'll learn soon enough. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Not a good day for young Finda - he has been kidnapped, along with his friends, been flung into a dark cellar, escaped into the teeth of a storm, seen his friends be captured again and heard them be tortured, and now his atto has been injured! So now Maddy has popped onto the scene. I, too, wonder where she has been all the time that Alex couldn't get in contact with her. And now she wants to let Farrell and his goods off the hook. Said goons has a lot to answer for, though - kidnapping, torture, assault, assaulting _cops_ and murder. I don't think the local police are just going to let them walk. But I also don't see them let Finrod just take over. Finrod, and the reinforcements from Valinor, need to get it through their heads that this is not Nargothrond or Valinor, and that they have to let the legal representatives of the law deal it. I can't say I'm surprised at Alex turning his back on the Agency, in the person of Maddy, but I think that both he and Amroth will have to make some sort of deal with it. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. No, it's not been a good day for Finda or anyone else for that matter. Maddy showing up is a real surprise for all and we'll see what that portends soon enough, as well as how successful Finrod is in getting his day in court, even if it's his court. As for Alex and Amroth... that remains to be seen as well. Thanks for commenting. It's always appreciated.

It would seem trying to get away from the elves will be a useless act on Farrell and his crew. They are babes in the woods when it comes to survival unlike the elves who have had several millennium behind them. They don't have a chance. Talk about a lot of pissed off people in this chapter (i.e.- Alex/Artemis, the elves, Dave and Karl, Farrell). Maddy seems to be taking this calmly. When did she lose all control over this with the local law (grin). Wonder if she ever did get or have any control over the Wiseman Law Enforcement. Oh well. When it comes to charges against Farrell and the gang, I hope they don't forget about the attack on the jail with the gas and sending all those officers to the hospital. What comes around goes around as I say. Can't say that I blame Alex for walking away from Maddie. And the way I see it Ambrose is dead and should stay dead. Maddy should leave it alone period. Hope to see the next chapter Monday. Have a nice long weekend everyone. Author Reply: Hi Clouded Leopard. There are indeed a lot of pissed off people here. Maddy is a professional and will act accordingly. Also she knows she's on thin ground here, the lone outsider against everyone else. Dave and Carl may not like the Elves at this moment with their arrogance, but they'll defend them against strangers any day of the week. We'll see what happens with Farrel and his goons. They're not going to get away scot-free, I promise. And you're right that "Ambrose" is dead and should be left that way. Amroth certainly has no plans on resurrecting him. Have a great Thanksgiving holiday and Monday's chapter will be waiting for you whenever you get the chance to read it. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It's much appreciated.

Aparently is now time to complain about the elves AGAIN, hahahahaha, really they are quite unbelievable they think THEY the elves rule the world!!!! I mean what part of "The times of the elves are past, the age of man began..." didn't they understand???? Also supposedly they are "trying" to integrate themselves to OUR world, but I don't see them trying at all, they still impose their will first and then that of the majority (mortals). I mean I am complitely in agreement with Dave, who exactly do they think they are??? Also who does Finrod think he is to claim right of judgement???? It's like "Finrod, sweethart this is not Norgrathrond or Valinor, where your word has the backing of the Goverment... I hope Dave doesn't let himself be bullied be this overarrogant elves...!!!! Also how sweet (note the sarcasm) that they think pistols don't have the reach that bows and arrows have... I hope one they Alex/Artemus introduces them to a sniper and will see which is more useful... and if you put a silencer in their hand pistols they won't even hear or see a bullet comming... so innocent, they really should let the mortals teach them about war in this age... so they can evolve and see the many uses and achivement meremortals made in the art of war. I mean Alex/Artemus can incapacite any of the great Elven warriors from the "Great" Valinor with just his hands!!!!! How cool and useful is that?????!!!! Take that you arrogant Elves!!!! XD Great Chapter in all, I hope in the future they learn to view mortals as equals in abilities, when in this case it is quite obvious their superiority, which I bet Finrod is now feeling and learning... Author Reply: Well, Monalex, what can I say? The Elves haven't learned to play nicely with others yet, but I have no doubt that the Mortals will enjoy teaching them the rules. *grin* And the Elves have learned a valuable lesson about the dangers of modern weaponry seeing their beloved leader getting shot, even if by accident. I don't think Dave will allow anyone to bully him, as we see by his attitude here. I'm glad you liked the chapter, though. And we'll see how Finrod endures being doctored by Mortals. He has no idea what's in store. *grin* Thanks for commenting. I much appreciate it.

So Maddy's finally on the scene, is she? Time for everybody to get some answers! I'm very curious to hear her explanations and just who's been working behind the scenes. I'm very sorry for Finrod to have to gain first hand experience with the discomfort caused by modern weaponry, but I'm guessing all the Elves from Valinor will now have a better understanding of the danger of firearms and for the younger ones, the nastiness that humans can dish out (poor Zach - he'll need a good long recovery time.) That young ER doctor has quite an opportunity to broaden his experience; something tells me he didn't learn about arrow wounds in Med school! I feel the most for Carl and Dave - what a soup to end up in! Glad to see them holding their ground. They still have to find their feet with the new order of things too. Author Reply: Hi Lyana. We'll learn more about Maddy over the next several chapters. And Finrod is just damn lucky that the bullet didn't hit him in the heart or he would be having a very unpleasant chat with Lord Námo and no one would be happy. Carl and Dave have the law behind them and they have every right to hold their ground. The Elves are clearly out of line as is Maddy, all of the throwing their weight around. On the other hand, they know that things are different with the Elves around so they try not to take it too personally, but I don't blame them for being a bit pissed off right now. Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewin. I appreciate you doing so very much.

Methinks Alex just might resign from the FBI and remain with the elves. That is my hope anyway. Author Reply: Oh, I have no doubt he'll resign from the Agency, Tari. We'll see what happenes as we wind this story up. Thanks for the reivew. It's much appreciated.

I am finding it curiouser and curioser. Maddy has come, and is obviously wanting answers, but also is finding herself relatively powerless in the face of Elves and her former agents. And Finrod wants first crack at Farrell and his thugs, does he? Good for him! Author Reply: It's quite a mess, to be sure, Larner. It'll take a little time to sort everything out, though not to everyone's satisfaction. Thanks for leaving a comment. I greatly appreciate it.
