*grin* Yeah, that's what I thought, Aman has to be rather boring in comparison to the times of 'Elf Interrupted'! *snort* Alex Grant, clueless dude? He'd not manage to be clueless if he tried! But I like the idea of him working with Amroth and Derek for the Academy in the capacity of intelligence officers. Not so much for strictly intelligence purposes, but for safety as well. They know what to do and how to look for something and all that. The Maiar keeping an eye on the Agency could be interesting, you know. Maddy and Sanderson aren't as bad as they try to look like, so I like the idea of them being secretly helped and protected by the Maiar. Besides, with Manveru and Erunaro on the job, who knows what havoc they are going to wreak? ;) So I wasn't the only one worried about Alex's Mum. Glad to know if push comes to shove, the Maiar are going to protect her, but I'd prefer her to move to Wiseman. It would be good for Alex himself, too, I believe. Yay! Not only Maddy and Sanderson are in, but Alex finally said yes, too! *does a happy dance* That's what I have hoped for since early into the story. Perfect :) Author Reply: Alex saying yes is what lots of readers have been hoping for all along, Kitty. Not that it will all be gravy for him from now on. There is still a lot he needs to work through to be completely healed but he's made the most important decision towards that healing. He will be a great asset to the Elves and hopefully he'll be able to convince his mom to move to Wiseman, but we won't see if he's successful in that endeavor until Elf Academy 3. Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

A satisfying ending. And not only Maddy, but Sanders also signed up. Great. I wasn't so worried about Alex's decision. he has grown so much. I like it how he meshes his two names. It seems there is another sequel, because there are so many unanswered question. Author Reply: Thanks, obsidianj. And yes, there will eventually be a sequel, though not immediately.

I agree with Lyana that Glorfindel's romance might well go pear-shaped. Our Balrog-Slayer is a real trouble magnet, after all. ;-) And it might be fun if Alex' mom is on hand to give the young whippersnapper some advice on how to treat a woman! Author Reply: Well, you never know and I'll keep your suggestions in mind, Sunny. Thanks.

Yay Alex! And I'm very happy to see Maddy and Sanderson sign on - what a lot of information they had to absorb in a short time! I'm guessing the appearance of a Vala and several Maiar helped the process a bit. Just curious, but are we going to hear about the fates of the Iced Agents in the Epilogue or will that come in the next story? Glad to hear EAIII is in the works. Weddings, babies, spies... what's not to love? And I'm sure that SOMETHING has to go pear shaped with the world's two oldest confirmed bachelors finally getting hooked! This has been such fun - now to go back and read it start to finish. :-) Very much looking forward to the next project in the new year. Author Reply: Hi Lyana. I'm afraid we won't learn anything more about the Iced Agents until the next story. And you're probably right that something has to go pear shaped with Glorfindel's and Daeron's respective romances. At any ratem I'm glad you enjoyed this installment of Elf Academy and I appreciate you taking the time to review as you could. Thank you.

Quote"“Amen,” Glorfindel said from where he was standing, a loving arm around Helyanwë, who looked quite content to be there." Hehe... I think I see Cupid at work here.. LOL Well Fiondil, what is next?? A new series??? Don't leave your readers hanging... Author Reply: Hi Idril. Well, we have one last chapter, an Epilogue, for this story and then it will be a while before the next installment of this series is up and running. In the meantime, I have 2 other multichapter stories that I'm working on and hope to have one of them ready for posting after the New Year. I find that during the holiday season people are very busy and have little time for reading and reviewing, so I will wait until January to start posting. That is not to say there won't be one or two short stories along the way. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this story and that you're looking forward to the next installment of Elf Academy. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I really appreciate it.

Alex, Derek and Zach signing on for the long haul is no surprise. What is a surprise is Maddy and Sanderson joining them. This is going to be such fun to read. Author Reply: Hi Tari. I'm glad you are already looking forward to the next installment. We'll have to see what happens, especially with Maddy and Sanderson, not to mention Alex, Derek and Zach and everyone else. Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Ah ha! Things are starting to fall in place and questions are being answered. I'm glad Maddy and Sanderson are 'joining' the fray. As for Alex, yup, bring his mom to Alaska. I'm afraid she'll need protection. Great last few chapters. Author Reply: That's right, Agape. Things are beginning to fall into place. Glad you liked these last few chapters. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it very much.

Hooray! About time! And Maddy and Sanderson are in, too. Excellent. Will we learn about Dolan's promptings in an epilogue or perhaps in future additions to the tale? Author Reply: Hi Larner. We won't learn about Dolan's promptings in the epilogue but perhaps in a future addition to the tale; it all depends on the Muse. Glad you liked this chapter. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Nice wrap-up! It was really a foregone conclusion that Alex decided to stay in Wiseman, though. With all the things that happened to him in this story, he just isn't the same character he was at the beginning. And with Maddie and Sanderson in the know about Elves and such, they have some rather necessary allies outside Alaska too. Also, if one of the Maiar pops out of thin air to give one of them some information, or a piece of advice, they will know they are more than special effects. So Alex is going to be the seed of the Elven Intelligence Agency? I wonder if perhaps Vaire will take an interest in him, since she was probably what we might consider the Valar's Intelligence Officer, back in the Wars of the Valar fic. ;-) And while we are on the subject, is Melian going to pop in to look over her prospective granddaughter-in-law, and say hello to her grandsons - Elladan, Elrohir - and Alex? XD It figures that Finrod would think Aman was getting boring, and finagling a ticket on Vingilot for himself. ;) Are Elrond and Celebrían among the reinforcements who arrived? There are 6 Elves among the reinforcements that haven't been named, according to my notes. If not, are they going to be there for Elrohir's wedding? I don't think they would want to miss that! Then there are a few things that have annoyed me about this fic - and these are things that you perhaps can do better in the follow up. Which can be summed up as, Where are the ellith? EA1 did not have this problem, probably because of the much smaller cast of characters, and your other fics (except for Wars of the Valar, that is, and that one doesn't really count as the characters there aren't human - or Elven) have taken place in a medieval environment, where you can point to medieval customs and mores, which can allow you to get away with having the ellith do embroidery in a room that is safely offscreen, and just trot them out when you need a female character for something. But this is supposed to be the 21 century, right? With women having equal rights and actually considered to be real people? So why are the boys out having adventures, while the ellith are relegated to wedding planning and shopping for baby clothes?? The exception to this, Nielluin, was thoroughly slapped down, and I got the feeling that somebody patted her on the head and told her to go back to her embroidery, like a good little elleth - even though I don't think she is the type for that. Then there is Glorfindel and Daeron and their prospective love interests - they have gone from staring wistfully at the ellith to snuggling comfortably together with nothing in between - and in an amazingly short time, too! I hope you don't consider me to be overly snarky - it isn't meant that way, and hope these comments will help you improve your writing. Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Well, not completely wrapped up as there is an Epilogue to follow. I agree that the ellith were left out of much of this story. With so many (new) characters it was just impossible to fit them all in and we will perhaps learn who else came along with Finrod in the next installment (I'm still debating with my muse as to who came and who has yet to come *grin*). Much of the focus of this particular chapter of Elf Academy was on Alex and the Agency and the threat of exposure and dealing with all of that. I hope in the next installment to deal with other matters that may not be as life-threatening to the Elves, including the romances that are only hinted at here, Elrohir and Serindë's wedding and what the ellith are all up to. It's frustrating, I know, but it's the best I can do, since otherwise this story becomes impossibly long and convoluted and leaving certain things out or only hinting at them does allow for sequels. Anyway, thanks for all your comments. I appreciate them very much.
