Sam has come home indeed. How splendid for him. Frodo lives still in spirit. I wonder what the dark paintings were about? How wonderful that he found peace and happiness here. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: The dark paintings were likely images from the Quest, especially Mordor. Sam would have likely discarded them before anyone had a chance to see them, but he would have remembered them. To now see paintings full of life and hope would be the final proof for Sam that Frodo was healed.

How in keeping with Frodo's nature as I've envisioned it! Lovely place for Sam also to find his healing as he prepares to follow Frodo and Rose on that final journey. Author Reply: Frodo would want something small and functional, cozy and easy to keep up - more time to just enjoy it. Sam will love it for the same reasons. :)

A perfect smial with an additional guest house! Very clever of Frodo and also very convenient for guests and host. I also like the flexibility of Frodo's picture gallery. Last but not least: the pantries (plural)! If that doesn't make a hobbit happy! Author Reply: Frodo would want to play host, and all his guests will be much taller than him - a proper guest house would have been essential. Frodo would probably run out of walls if he tried to display all the paintings at once. ;) And of course, you need more than one pantry. Any hobbit knows that. :D

Oh, I hope Sam will tell us about some of his discoveries in Frodo's (now his) home! It sounds delightful! Author Reply: We'll learn some of the things he'll find, but he has a lot to explore in his new home and town. He's going to be busy getting himself acquainted to everything. :D

What a cozy, welcoming home. Sam will enjoy the garden, and also reading the books Frodo's left for him. Author Reply: Sam will have much to keep him occupied and he'll be touring the garden soon. :)
