| I've also doubted that Frodo needed to use the Palantir that communicated most easily with the stone kept in the Elven towers in sight of the Sundering Sea. But it would give ease to Sam's heart, I'm certain. Author Reply: Sam will be grateful for whatever glimpse he can get of his loved ones. | |
