I'm glad to have this glimpse at the long missive. It's a drag that Frodo couldn't welcome his brother personally but Sam has this and I'm sure he will sense his beloved's presence everywhere. I'm looking forward to seeing him meet 'Pippin'. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Sam will have plenty of opportunities to see the places Frodo enjoyed spending his time and meet his many friends. And maybe even come across a certain deer. ;-)

... because I know you’ll ask and not be satisfied with any answer lest it be from me directly Frodo knows his Sam very well :-) I'm quite sure he succeeded in convincing Sam that he was fully healed. And now Sam can be at peace, too and have a good time listening to Gandalf singing and looking for the buck called Pippin. Author Reply: He does indeed. :) Sam needed to hear that directly from Frodo, or there'd always be that doubt lingering in the back of his mind. Now he can truly enjoy his life in Tol Eressea.

*sniff* Oh Frodo! I hope someday you might give us the whole letter, but this is the important part, the part Sam needs to see, and so do we. *sniffles again* Author Reply: Frodo certainly knows what will be foremost on Sam's mind. He wouldn't want Sam to keep wondering if Frodo was healed. Sam will be more at ease now.

There's so much about this letter I love, especially the phrase "as soon you get home". Author Reply: Frodo knows how to make his Sam feel better and at home, even if he can't be there himself.

A buck named after Peregrin Took? Now, that must be quite the story! Heh! Author Reply: I'm sure it is! I wish I knew it, but Pippin's not sharing! ;)

A stag wearing a necklace called Pippin! That made me grin. Author Reply: I'm sure everyone on the isle is familiar with Pippin. :D
