I have always loved stories of Sam and his family. This,...this made my night. you write so I can actually see Sam among the Elves, feel his pain and his...coming to terms with the loss of Frodo.I cannot wait for more. Author Reply: Thanks so much! Sam is very dear to me and I love writing him and his family. Getting to see him on Tol Eressea, independent and on his own, has been an interesting challenge. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Well, foresight's a chancy business at best. But Frodo had the gift even before they left the Shire, so it's no wonder to learn it strengthened for him in Eressea. Author Reply: It is chancy, but Frodo knows enough not to read more into his visions than what he sees. They are meant as a comfort, and that's how he receives them.

Love this chapter about this particularly gifted and graced hobbit. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Frodo's certainly a gem among hobbits, though he'd never think of himself that way - which just proves that he is of course. ;)

He says no more on the matter, the old codger. LOL! But the very same "old codger" will find a way for Sam to see his family, I'm sure. So, be patient, Sam! Author Reply: Gandalf does love his suspense and surprises. :D And Sam will be patient. He'll find plenty to keep him occupied as he waits.

Dear Gandalf. He's always there for his beloved hobbits. Author Reply: He most certainly is. Even now, he looks after his hobbits.

the old codger Laughing in delight! Oh, Sam! Still as plain spoken as ever. I do look forward to whatever Gandalf has in store. Author Reply: He certainly is! Never saw much point in fancy talk, did our Sam. Gandalf will have quite the surprise for Sam. :)
