| Hmm! Now that is a most interesting dilemma, to think on what needs to be a wonderful prank! I just hope it doesn't go too far. Loved seeing "Red Rover" being played! Author Reply: You recognized the game, naturally! Years ago in a little ficlet I wrote, I had young hobbits playing "Breakthrough" (AKA Red Rover) because it just seemed like it would be a very hobbity sort of game! As for the prank, well, we shall see! | |

| p.s. *Now* I know why I haven't been reading in this story (looked at the chapter titles). I am still hoping sometime (maybe this summer?) to have time to go back and finish my Fell Winter story, and so it's better to avoid your Fell Winter chapters for the time being. Author Reply: Yes! I hope you will finish it--I love that one! But you can keep on with this one going forward now, I hope! | |

| How lovely to see this pop up in my email. I must have missed a number of intervening chapters, however... I didn't have time to go back and catch up, but will hope I can manage to do that later. Such a hobbity and homely chapter! (The food, especially, sounds good. I just realized I haven't eaten since early this morning...) (There are two paragraphs repeated, at least the way my browser is showing the chapter, so you might want to take another look.) I love the nicknames! (And why do I have the feeling that a planned prank is somehow going to go wrong?) Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed it! Food is important! I fixed the doubled paragraphs. That was a copy/paste error--I grabbed the same part twice, without realizing it. We'll see what happens with the prank... | |

| "What's the matter with Chop? What's that lass done to him?" Oh dear, it's quite a shock when a playmate grows up right in front of your eyes. It's such a pleasure to see the hobbits feasting and laughing again. And it's such a pleasure to know that you're writing again. (You have two paragraphs that repeat, beginning with "Bilbo was pleased to see both his parents there".) Author Reply: Exactly! Siggy and Bilbo are not quite ready to let go of the "old" Chop yet! I thought a chapter of fun and frolic would be good, and show how the Shire has recovered for the most part. (Thanks! Fixed now!) | |
