| I think the timing of Hobbits with Earendil was lovely -- it gave me a bit of a shiver when I read it. I really liked Frodo's thoughts on *why* someone who had never had a problem with Olorin before might potentially be reacting badly to this new revelation -- always do important to stop and ask *why*. And I can see this happening, really -- both in this case, and I'm his example with Elladan. Our prejudices are so silently sewn in sometimes that we don't actually even realize they're there until something happens to highlight them... Enjoying, thanks! | |
