Looks like the police officers all approve of Legolas' action ;) Though with that many witnesses, it is going to be hard to keep it contained, and that stunt was a bit too obvious. And of course, the TV has to be there at once *sigh* So Dave is now hiring him anyway, rules be damned. I hope that's not going to come back to bite him, but am rather happy for Legolas. It may not be the regular way to do things, but maybe the better one. He's not been there long enough to really pass as a mortal, there's still way too much he needs to learn in order to blend in, so the Police Academy would be a certain problem. The other Elves left me rolling my eyes once more. It's Finrod all over again. Every time one of them gets a regular job, we seem to be going through the same uproar. And Glorfindel ... Elladan's question if it was because Legolas didn't ask his permission or if he was not there to join in the fun hit the nail on the head, I think. Now I am glad Vorondur came, that ellon has the most sensible head on his shoulders out of all of them, and it looks like Legolas needs more support than just the twins. So now the Maiar are involved again. Let's hope they can deflate some egos and defuse the situation. Author Reply: I don't think Dave had much choice at this point, and you're right that it's too soon for Legolas to be able to pass as a Mortal and 6 months isn't a whole lot of time to learn. Elladan knows his captain all too well and pretty much nailed it as far as Glorfindel's reaction is concerned. Vorondur just keeps getting better and better and I just love him to pieces. He really is a gem among Elves. Thanks for reviewing, Kitty. I appreciate it very much.

LOL! The ending is priceless. "Don't mind us", indeed. I feared the reaction of the other elves would be less than enthusiastic. It seems to be Finrod and his new job all over. Although with the involvement of the media, it is more serious. The abilities of the elves is now out of the bag. No hiding anymore. I'm not sure they can make all the videos on YouTube go away. That still would leave all the other ones privately stored on cell phones. Author Reply: It remains to be seen how all this can be contained, but I'm sure the Maiar are on it. And cell phones can suffer mysterious data losses as can computers and such. *grin* At any rate we'll see just why everyone is angry and what they end up doing about it in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing, obsidianj. I appreciate it.

Hullo again Fiondil! Been a while. I finally came in this a.m. and downloaded to the Kindle the chapters I've missed. What a series of chapters! *whew* I am so glad to see others beside Alex, Glorfindel and Finrod coming to the fore; and Legolas as police officer!!!! That so totally rocks! Think we can steal him for down here in California? :) Really exciting scenes, well written and only one flaw my dear. WWTV is Alaska tv station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_stations_in_Alaska The standard adopted by the FCC, The Mississippi River, is the dividing line between East and West with only a few mistakes based on the similarities of State code abbreviations. So Alaska (as the address listed above shows) is K stations. KWTV would work. Otherwise, killer chapters (the last 2 especially). I could so see Leggy doing the car surfing (shades of that silly shield ride in TT film haha). With most of the action lately being with the mouth or the brain, it's nice to see the elves (or at least one of them) kicking butt. And yes, why IS Legolas suddenly thinking of his beloved Adar? Not to mention feeling suddenly like a little elfling. LOL I am totally loving your writing, dear friend and look forward to next week. Have a wonderful weekend. Taa! (leaves cookies for those in the Cliffhouse with a sign that clearly states: RESIDENTS ONLY, NO MAIAR ALLOWED) lol Author Reply: Hi MikoNoNyte. Thanks for the correction. I'll make the appropriate change. I'm glad you enjoyed these latest chapters. I thought it was time to show some Elf butt-kicking for once and Legolas was the perfect Elf for the job. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Just aught up on all three chapters dealing with Legolas 's adventures. How I wish we could see that car chase filmed. You did a wonderful job with the visuals. The ending with the Maiar is even better. Thank you so much. Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed this, UTfrog. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Why, yes, I think there will be a show. Hmmmmmm. Lots of people, lots of attention. This is going to be interesting. Are you sure you couldn't post just a little more often? Pretty please? ~Eruherdiriel Author Reply: Sorry, Eruherdiriel, I think posting twice a week, which is far more frequent than anyone else who posts on this or any other site, is often enough. You'll just have to be patient. Glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Ellie was right--the perfect way for those two Maiar to appear, ready to watch the game in comfort, and with a mug of refreshment in hand. Olorin is certainly displaying that he is indeed familiar with Hobbits, isn't he? I mean, allowing us to see his inner Hobbit in that fashion! I am certain that Legolas and Michaelson will get on very well indeed, and that there will be a good deal shared between the two. That Legolas sees Aragorn in the Man is somehow hopeful. Ah, but the people of Wiseman will be served even better by their police department with officer Prince on board as he now is, and I doubt he'll ever need a pistol or rifle. Just let him have his longbow now and then, and those who would think to do evil within the town will learn to shudder and drop their own weapons! Glad Vorondur is with the Twins on this one, and Glorfindel will come around! Author Reply: Hi Larner. I thought the ending was perfect, too, which is why I'm glad Ellie thought of it. I'm sure Legolas and Michaelson will get along well and Wiseman will be safer for having an Elf in the police force. And you're right that Glorfindel will come around eventually. We'll see how it all falls out in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

A lot of thoughts ran through my head on this chapter. Consequences was the biggest thought on my mind. Liam is thinking that he got a job and the elves should be happy for him and then he finds out that almost everyone is angry at him for finding a job. Though I have to agree with Elladan that Glorfindel is more upset that he wasn't there to help capture the baddies more than he is upset at what Liam did. You certainly wrote a roller coaster of emotions here from the different elves, the ones from Valinor seeming the most upset. Ron, the angel, has arrived on time to help defuse the situation. You can tell the elves are certainly upset and not thinking if he was able to waltz through the back yard and into the house. The elves he chooses for the conference are certainly an interesting mix. I have a feeling that the meeting is going to be one heck of a great chapter. Especially now that Finn and Gandalf are there as spectators? Popcorn no less. Hopefully, they will have ideas on how to make the videos on You Tube and the news hounds and naysayers go away. Have a great weekend. I think I am going to go pop some popcorn and join Finn and Gandalf in the spectator gallery. Author Reply: Hi rikki. You're right that there are lots of consequences to what has happened and the fall-out will be interesting to see. We'll see why everyone, especially certain Elves in particular, are so upset at Liam in the next chapter. Ron is a gem and he is very funny here. I think he was having way too much fun with everyone. Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

Conrad is like a kids at Christmas with the new colleague and Dave has a nice, humorous way of interacting with his staff. With Legolas as well. And his solution with Legolas is an elegant one, showing he's willing to take the Elf in hims team, but on his terms. It's clear Legolas has no clue what he has just caused (He can take that in for his lessons to act like a mortal), no clue about televisions, smart phone's, youtube movies, he just goes back into the woods and when he gets out again...Then the circus has really started. I wonder what has Aldarion, Gilvagor, Haldir and Thandir so angry. Glorfindel I can understand, having the press on your back isn't really the thing the Elves need right now. Apart from this, Glorfindel really seems to be having problems with the other Elves looking for jobs on their own. “What’s the matter, Loren? Are you upset because Liam did something without coming to the great Lord Glorfindel of the House of the Golden Flower for permission or because you weren’t there helping him to chase the bad guys?” I'm pretty sure, the truthful answer would be both lol! And Glorfindel must have forgotten how he and the others revealed them as Elves in Wiseman in quite a rash mood as well. I wonder what people who will see the footage of Legolas actions will think of it. Despited everything, I think quite a few people will see it as a hoax or some very good stunt work, hey they might even get away with it being some kind if Elf Academy promotion, but there are also other Elves out there.. Ron seems to be taking things quite lightly, maybe even a bit too much? Even though it is a good way to lighten the mood right now. . And speaking of that, the Mair showing up at the end was simply hilarious. I wonder if they are on an mission, trying to prevent any head from getting bitten of, enjoying the fun or a combo of those three! Author Reply: Hi FV_Whisper. We'll learn why Aldarion, Gilvagor, Haldir and Thandir are so angry, or angrier than the others in the next chapter and there will be further discussions about it later on. As for the footage of the car chase, we'll see how that is handled as well. Ron isn't taking anything lightly (he rarely does, given his profession), but like all of us, he can't help tweaking people when the occasion arises and everyone just made it so easy for him to do so here. As for the Maiar, we'll see if they're on a mission or not in the next chapter as well. Thanks for leaving a review. It's much appreciated.

So Legolas is going to be a cop after all, but with an "on the job" training program instead of the Police Academy. Clearly his little bit of heroism is going to be useful to himself as well! :-D But - and there's always a but, isn't there? That sort of incredible, are-you-SURE-it's-not-special-effects action would certainly NOT pass unnoticed. Or fail to get captured by a smartphone. So cue Mr. Loren "I hate surprises" DelaFiore, who inevitably learns what one of the young whippersnappers from Valinor has been up to, because it's the main news item on the local TV station, and because the newsies are besieging Edhellond. I don't know what ha Glorfindel most upset at this point (though the siege would probably be enough all by itself), Legolas not talking over his plans with him, the Twins not telling him of Legolas' plans, Elladan aiding and abetting said plans, and the rest of the inhabitants not knowing anything of what Legolas was going to do. So Glorfindel is Not Happy, and is ready to tear Legolas (and all the others) a new one. No wonder Fionwë and Olórin were sitting there with popcorn and drinks! *sits down next to the Maiar with a cup of tea, and puts a plate of homemade cookies on the table* Author Reply: Hi Sunny. I think having in-house training will be safer for everyone. Let's face it, six months isn't a whole lot of time to learn to pass as a mortal when you consider that the Twins and others have had millennia of practice as they drifted from one human culture to another. At least this way, Legolas doesn't have to pretend anything and just be himself, which is all to the good. Glorfindel is obviously hanging by a thread here and there are reasons for it though it won't become clear until later, but certainly with everything that's been going on and the pressures he's under, Legolas' little stunt (as he sees it) hasn't helped matters. I'm sure Ron will set him straight on that. And the Maiar certainly have ringside seats on all the shenanigans of the Elves and Mortals of Wiseman. *grin* Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.
