'Til Death Do Us Part  by Haleth 6 Review(s)
FreyalynReviewed Chapter: 38 on 3/13/2014
Oh good, Inglor's back! And they're running away together. Again.

Would it be too much to ask for them to have a conversation at some point? The sort of conversation when they both pay attention, listen to what the other person is actually saying and not just what they think is being said, and perhaps not suffer under huge clouds of misunderstanding. Explaining the ring to both us and Haleth would be a start.

But I'm so glad that Inglor takes Haleth's view point straightaway, especially regarding Ecthelion and Glorfindel.

Thank you. More please!

Inglor and Haleth do seen to spend a lot of time running.

I'm not sure these two are capable of having a straight-forward conversation. Inglor doesn't reveal much but neither does Haleth. We have the benefit of knowing what's going on in her head. Inglor presumably doesn't. Who in their right mind would deliberately poke at Haleth's emotions? She's overly sensitive, gets angry very, very quickly and has been known to become violent.

Inglor might see Ecthelion and Glorfindel as competition. It's something he's never had to deal with when it comes to Haleth.

Thank-you for the review.

Oho! Inglor's back. *does happy dance* I don't know if he's truly as dense as he seems to be at times or smarter than everyone in Valinor put together, including the Valar. So, will they REALLY go searching for Idril and Tuor? LOL! I suspect this will be a trip to remember for them both and it will be interesting to see if either of them survives.

I don't know if he's truly as dense as he seems to be at times or smarter than everyone in Valinor put together, including the Valar.

That is a REALLY good question. Is he completely oblivious or is he really, really intelligent and extraordinarily good at hiding it? Why does he feel the need to hide it?

Will they actually go looking for Idril and Tuor? I guess. Unless Haleth can convince his to sail to what remains of Numenor. Which would mean Haleth would have to tell him what she was actually thinking. Given her track record of non-communication, it would be surprising if she confided in him now.

Thank-you for the review.

I am almost as pleased to see Inglor as Haleth is - or possibly even more so!

Author Reply: Hello curiouswombat

It's a relief to have Inglor back. His (almost) unflappable calm is the perfect foil for Haleth's over-reactions. She's not nearly so entertaining without him.

Thank-you for the review.

It is a treat to see so much from you in the course of a single day!
A very enjoyable chapter. Ecthelion watching Haleth with grave concern cracked me up. He really doesn't have a clue. Had Inglor been hiding all this time in Elrond's gardens just outside of Haleth's eyesight, waiting to step in when she tries to bolt?
On the eye-gazing - I assume Inglor tries to see in Haleth's eyes if she is his only one, or something like that. Probably this doesn't work with mortals, so he is confused. As Haleth hasn't had the benefit of reading LACE, she is confused as well. Good luck to Haleth with searching for Idril and Tuor - there is a job for a Finder in the Blessed Realm after all.

Outside circumstances inspired me to write.

You've made me realize that Ecthelion's relationship with Haleth is confused. On one hand he wants to protect her the way he tried to protect Aredhel which is very much the traditional man protecting the woman idea. On the other hand, he often treats Haleth as though she's a direct substitute for Tuor. Thank-you!

Eye-gazing...yes.

Thank-you for the insights and the review.

You have absolutely made my day, Haleth!! I can't imagine anything that would start my week off as beautifully as reading this chapter before my long work day begins! :-)

So... Inglor is back! *sigh of contentment amid rosy cheeks!* I didn't expect him to resurface so quickly but oh am I ever happy that he did! I don't think Haleth (or I) could have gone much longer worrying about his whereabouts...

As always, I laughed so hard at some of the wit in this chapter that I'm sure my co-workers think I'm nuts! I do hope that Haleth and Inglor have permanently lost Ecthelion and Glorfindel as they set out on this mystifying search! I LOVED Haleth's physical response to Inglor's question about how she enjoyed having those two for body guards! Classic Haleth!! I'm not sure that Elrond will be particularly happy with her sudden departure, but then again he probably knew she'd bolt...

Can't wait to see what happens next - difficult to imagine that Haleth would succumb to the 'sleep' of the Enchanted Isles... ;-) But, if anyone can find Idril and Tuor, it's Haleth!

Favourite scene - Haleth begrudgingly leaving behind the candlestick she planned on stealing!

Favourite line of dialogue - Inglor's response when Haleth asks why he wants to hold her hand: ‘Because it is a lovely night and I am most happy to see you again.’

Bring on chapter 39! :-)

I'm glad that I could make the start of your work week a little easier.

Inglor is back and seemingly as clueless as ever. He didn't seem to like the idea of the bodyguards catching up with her. Maybe he's not as clueless as believed.

For anyone with profound insomnia, the Enchanted Isles would sound like a paradise. I can just see some enterprising entrepreneur setting up a small but comfortable hotel for very rich clients who just can't sleep.

Thank-you for taking the time to review.

Haleth.

Hi Haleth. Wow Inglor showed up at the precise moment when he is needed. Inglor seems to have a knack
of doing this. Lets hope this time that neither of them, say anything that will drive each other away.

It would be interesting if they do find Idril& Tuor. This way with Haleth maping the islands and kept busy she can't get board and in trouble. We all know that she lied to Inglor at first as she was heading back to Arda. I think she might be talking her self into it. As for our two other elves, well I guess we have to see.I hope Elrond isn't to hurt with Haleth. Really can't wait for the next chapter. LOL Trish (Galathil)

Inglor really does have a talent for showing up at the right place at the right time, doesn't he?

Haleth really isn't very good at coming up with fake excuses. She's definitely not con-man material.

Thank-you for the review.
