I am worried about who all will want to stay with family when they get ready to leave. :( Guess we will see what we will see. Yes to Ron getting his dues by the way. You dont have to be a balrog slayer to be powerful Although it can't hurt. ;) Love this story so much. :-) Author Reply: Hi Laer. We'll see who stays and who goes back. And Ron deserves all accolades. He's been a life-saver in more ways than one over the last couple years that the Elves have lived in Wiseman. I'm glad you are enjoying the story so much. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it a lot.

Hmmm...Ron as Turgon's worst nightmare. Turgon should ask some of the others about both his fists and his hypodermic needle! Are those anger management classes still going on? I suppose with the wedding going on, and Turgon's not being there long to begin with, there would not be time. But watching him in such a session, particularly with one of the mortal instructors, would be highly entertaining, I think. Author Reply: Hi Demeter d. As far as I know the classes are still going on though probably not as extensively. Ron even mentions the fact here that he was considering ending them soon. At any rate, it would be amusing to see Turgon in one of those classes, but as you say, there isn't any time for it. Too bad. He probably could use some anger management right about now. *grin* Anyway, thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Ahh, there's quite some talking going on here, which is good, since there are many things that need our Elves attention. Too bad Sador didn't come along, I'm sure Glorfindel would have liked that. Turgon really isn't at his best here. I think the Elves from Aman can tell quite a few stories about that (as a matter of fact I think Galadriel would be happy to do so). I love it how Ron isn't taking non of Turgon's arrogance. And is right, he only makes promises. Turgon should be rather afraid of him if he has the common sense for it. I think it would be good for Glorfindel and him to have a long talk and see what comes out of that. In the mean time, I hope there will be an extra Maia on watch on him, Turgon being loose in the current situation in Wiseman isn't the wisest thing to have around. *grins at the mental image of Turgon being taking away in a straightjacket and Ron walking behind him* It's great to hear the first group of the Valinorian Elves have adapted themselves so much they all want to stay. It's a good sign and they've come a long way for it. I wonder who of the newcomers will stay in the end too, I don't think Finrod is very willing to let Amarië go, and I think Amarië wasn't already very willing to see Finrod going back and leaving her behind for a second time, she will not be willing to let him go either. Ah, I think some Elves gave the Valar a good time pestering them around for the wedding. If you take into account, Elrond and Celebrían, teamed up with Galadriel and Celeborn, that's one force to be reckoned with. Add in the three amigo's, ehr, I mean high kings and you can say the Valar indeed had a slight problem. I wonder whether Finrod's outburst to Oromë and Tulkas had something to do with them deciding the Elves where to go after all. Thinking of the Elves arrival, is Eärendil merely acting as the inter dimensional travel agent or has he turned up for his grandson's wedding as well? I had to grin at the thing going on between ehh Gary (lol) and Nell, as well as the comments on it. And it seems like Misty and Gwyn didn't go unnoticed to. Let's hope for Daeron he can get the rose petals and bridal bower ready soon. Ah Elrond, how I love that ellon. I'm so looking forward seeing him back in the new Hobbit movie as well (he and Glorfindel were wise enough to stop fighting over the favor of being my favorite Elf long ago and are just sharing first place. Thranduil is sneaking up from behind, though). I'm very happy how some chapters from his pov are coming up, I think he will be in for a real eye-opener when it comes to mortal medicine, see what is sons are doing and I'm pretty sure he will be able to make himself useful too, or else Olórin would not have permitted him to come along too. I also think at some point Elrond will seek out Alex to have a talk with him.Would be very interesting to see how Akex, who is slowly beginning to accept his heritage will react on this. I guess I will leave things for now, before the reply becomes actually longer than the chapter itself lol Needless to say I greatly enjoyed it. Author Reply: Hi FV_Whisper. Yes, it's too bad Sador didn't come but there is a reason why he didn't. I'm sure the Elves were very good at pestering the Valar enough that the Valar were glad to see them go, if only for a short while. Eärendil will not be at the wedding, unfortunately, since he would not have come without Elwing and she would not come, also it would've been tough to hide the ship even in the wilderness for that length of time. Elrond will have front billing in a few chapters and we'll see how he and Celebrían deal with things in the modern world. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

So, none of the first bunch of Valinorean elves wants to go back. What is with the women? Ron will be teaching at the academy. That is great. Seems like undesirable elements are slowly but surely eliminated. I love it that Elrond joins the healers to treat the children. In an emergency every hand helps. I hope he will be among those that will stay in Wiseman, but then Celebrian also needs to stay. They were apart for too long in my mind. I just hope the injuries of the children in the accident will not be too severe or at least nothing that can't be healed. Author Reply: Well, there weren't as many ellith who came, but we know that Nell is busy at college, Linda is involved in the clothing store with her husband, Anna and Daeron seem to have a thing going and Helyanwë and Glorfindel appear to be okay as well, so it looks as if they're in as well. And of course if Elrond ends up staying then so will Celebrían. We'll have to see how it goes. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Forgot to mention wondering what the Wedding Guests reaction is going to be to Amroth and Nimrodel's small population explosion! Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: That will be addressed at some point. One thing at a time, Lynda. I can only cram so much into each chapter. *grin*

I have to agree with Nimrodel, and I expect a conclusion to that particular event. It seems rather too coincidental, though. I'm still looking forward to Galadriel and Celeborn's reactions to all this. ~Eruherdiriel Author Reply: Sorry, Eruherdiriel. I read through the chapter and I don't see anywhere where Nimrodel says anything so I don't know to what particular event you are referring. Perhaps a little clarification on your part would help. Author Reply: Went back and re-read the chapter again and found where Nimrodel says her one line. You'll find out soon enough how the children fared. As for your suspicions, not everything is arranged. Life does just happen as do accidents.

First off - we get Elrond POV chapters?! Yesssss! I'm thrilled! He was my favorite Elf in the Hobbit and LOTR. Finrod edges him out just a hair as my favorite Elf of all time. I'm excited to see what happens with him. There's just something about him I have always loved. His strength and wisdom and kindness coupled with the warrior in him, even though he set that aside. If I were in an accident, I know I would want him there, so I'm sure he will prove to be very helpful for the children and their parents. Now back to the actual chapter, LOL - I look forward to seeing what happens when Turgon and Glorfindel finally have their airing of grievances, as it certainly has my wheels turning. It sounds like the Valar and the Elves had a hard time working out an arrangement that would let the Elves attend the wedding. It would not surprise me if that was what the problem that Oromë mentioned was about. I can understand the fear but if they have dozens of Maiar around, wouldn't that protect them? Or are the Maiar operating in "hands-off" mode and can't interfere? Whatever the case, I just imagine how much fun it would be to drag a confused Elf around on a tour. I hope they do get to see a little of the world. I'm not even going to guess what's going to happen with the election, but it feels like a storm is coming. It's good to see that all the new-Wiseman Elves have decided to stay. I wasn't sure about a few of them! For the next two weeks, they're no longer the new kids, I hope they enjoy it. I'm curious as to who ends up staying, probably selfish of me to hope Elrond will be among them, but I'm hoping anyway! I just have a feeling some will regardless of the threats, but we were see. I'm getting a little worried for Peterson, if he really had nothing to do with the bomb attempt then some powerful forces are mixed in his camp and those forces tend not to have a use for their toadies once they fail. Wondering if the kings will see mortals at their worst, Ron clearly has. Sad. Hope the kids are okay, buses are built like tanks and I have even seen a guy fleeing from the SBI crash head-on into one while doing 80 mph and believe me he came out the loser in that one. Ironically I think we are in full moon phase now aren't we? I'd love to know what Tilion would say to the full moon syndrome, haha. Such a good chapter! Hope your weekend is awesome! -Kevana Author Reply: Hi Kevana. Yes, Elrond pov chapters coming up all next week. I'm sure you and everyone else will get a kick out of them. Elrond was always my favorite Elf until I met Finrod and Glorfindel, so he's my second favorite Elf (Finrod and Glorfindel tie for first), but it's a very close second. I suspect that the "little problem" Oromë mentioned was the three High Kings and everyone else importuning the Valar for a chance to go to the wedding. The question of protection and the role of the Maiar in all this will be addressed in a later chapter. And all the Elves who have resided in Middle-earth have seen Mortals at the worst but also at their best and, let face it, the Elves can't claim to be lily-white souls either. We'll see in the next couple chapters how the children fared. And you're right, it is the full moon this weekend. Sometimes the heavens line up perfectly. LOL! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Have an awesome weekend yourself. I'll be spending part of mine in the middle ages celebrating Yule in the barony. Should be fun. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

I just had this hilarious mental image of Vorondur calling in the big, beefy men in white coats and having Turgon led away in a straightjacket. Sorry. *g* Author Reply: And it is pretty hilarious and that's why Vorondur warns Turgon that he can be his worst nightmare if he doesn't behave himself. I'm glad you're still reading and enjoying the story Soledad.

p.s. I am tempted to go back and re-read EA1 and 2, right along with Loren's storytelling, but... no time. Will simply have to put it on my list for later, with so many other things. Looking forward to more! Author Reply: They'll always be there (Eru willing) for when you have the time to re-read them, Lindelea.

Oh, dear! School bus accidents are frightening to contemplate. Love Elrond's desire to jump in. How interesting that Galadriel hasn't said much of anything yet to/about the lovebirds. Turgon makes me think of the saying, "Once a jerk, always a jerk." Ron, his worst nightmare. LOL! Oh, and glad to see how acclimated the recent arrivals (not the new arrivals, that is) have become, in that they have begun to put down roots and take up responsibilities. Author Reply: Hi Lindelea. Yes, school bus accidents are frightening to contemplate. Hopefully, with the Elves helping out, things will be well with the children. Turgon does have issues and I think once he and Glorfindel deal with things he'll be nicer. Right now things are too strange for him and he's acting accordingly. Ron, though... he's no one to fool around with, that's for sure. And it does look as if those who came with Finrod are finally settling down and that can only be a good thing. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
