Yes! My favorite elf is back! I love Elrond. I am eager to see what he winds up doing in this new Mortal world. I wonder if he may decide to go on to medical school like his sons. Hmm. May I recommend Celeste as a Mortal name for Celebrian? I can't wait for the updates. This story gets better with each chapter. Well done.

I loved the title. It captured Elrond's reaction in a nutshell. I hope he can stay. Having a healer that can invoke songs of power would be a real asset. I know Finrod can do it too, but I got the feeling he is too much occupied with other things. The Stillers are quite something, especially George. At least his wife has a better sense of priorities. Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. I thought the title was apropos. Actually, Elrond isn't the only healer who can invoke Songs of Power, he's just the only one so far, other than Finrod, to have done so. Any of the healers from Valinor are capable of Songs of Power, they just haven't needed to use them lately. Anyway, thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

I'm glad the children are okay. I would enjoy seeing Elrond as a permanent character. And his reactions to various medical paraphernalia. ~Eruherdiriel Author Reply: Hi Eruherdiriel. I'm sure everyone is glad that the children are okay and you're not alone in hoping to see Elrond as a permanent resident of Wiseman. We'll have to see how that works out. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's appreciated.

Poor Elrond, he has to feel like the "country mouse" and he shouldn't. I hope he (they) get to stay, but I guess we will see what we will see :) I also would like to see a few others stay, if they need places to stay.... ;) Author Reply: I'm sure Elrond will eventually feel less like a "country mouse" once he's settled in. I doubt he and Celebrían will want to return to Valinor after finally being reunited with their sons, but we'll see and there are others who will most likely insist on staying as well. Thanks for the offer. LOL! I'm sure they appreciate it, as do I. ;) Anyway, thanks for leaving a review. It's much appreciated.

I'm enjoying the story even though I haven't commented before. But I had to comment about today's chapter and the mention of a 20 story hospital building. Anchorage doesn't have a 20 story building of any type... probably nothing higher than 10 - 12 stories for one of the hotels and that is the largest city by far in the whole state of Alaska. My impression has been that Wiseman is about 10,000 people or so and I can't imagine them having a hospital more than 2 stories high. Even a slightly larger city, which would be fairly unusual in the rural parts of Alaska - it is very sparsely inhabited - wouldn't have a very big facility. Serious cases are flown to Anchorage. Anyway, I just thought I'd point that out as I lived in Alaska for a number of years and I visit there almost every year. :) Author Reply: Hello Arlene. Thanks for the info. I guess I was thinking of the hospitals in Syracuse where I live, and that's not a very large city. I've gone in and lowered the numbers. Even so, the hospital would still be taller than any building he would remember from living in Middle-earth before. At any rate, I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I can certainly appreciate why he doesn't wish to be bereft of his children again. And I rejoice that he is proud of their accomplishments now. A good introduction for him to current medical practice, I think. And I believe Professor Stillman has some appreciation to gather for Glorfindel and his people. Author Reply: Hi Larner. Yes, he's very proud of them and we'll see the Stillmans again in the next chapter and how he interacts with Elrond and his sons. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

*blinks and does best not to hyperventilate* Did... did I see you actually use the Mortal name I suggested for Olórin??!? Or had you already thought of it, and I just guessed what you'd already written? Either way, really trying not to fangirl here. I know, silly, but hey... :-) Ahem. Sorry - there's so much awesomeness in this chapter - love Elrond (can't imagine how trippy it would be to be introduced to modern civilization that way), and love how the elves and humans are starting to appreciate each other and lean into each others' strengths. I may not be commenting much, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the stories, and am thrilled that an EA4 is in the works. Author Reply: Hi Lyana. I honestly don't know. I think it's a question of which came first, the chicken or the egg in this case. At any rate, thanks for the suggestion either way. *grin* I'm glad you are enjoying the story and looking forward to EA4. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it very much.

Stranger in a strange land. Elrond is certainly fascinated by the modern day sights he is seeing as they rush to the hospital. Even though he has lived in Middle-Earth before, things have certainly changed! But he also strikes me as an Elf who can adapt and see the marvels as improvements to mankind. I can just see the other Elves visiting from Valinor when they go sightseeing. LOL! Hopefully it will be in small groups or Glorfindel will never get them from Point A to Point B. I loved the way that Gandalf stepped in as Dr. Oliver Grey to help the parents find their children. As was said later, Elrond also played a part as being the Elf that parents saw when they came into the hospital. Elrond must have been very proud of his sons when he learned at the news conference that they had been instrumental in saving lives. Can't wait to see how he likes riding in the van for the first time. Probably will ask where the horses are being kept. LOL! Hope you have a wonderful week and looking forward to Friday. Author Reply: Hi rikki. Yes, a stranger in a strange land, indeed. As for the tour, we'll see that soon enough. Gandalf is very good at what he does and, of course, he's dealt with Mortals more so than any of the other Maiar and on a more intimate basis, so he's a good choice for helping with the parents of the children. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

*facepalm* I knew I meant Elrond, but instead of putting his name in, I used a pesky pronoun in the same paragraph as I was talking about Gandalf. 'S what I get for posting a comment before I've had my breakfast. *blushes* Author Reply: It does help to be awake when leaving a review, Dreamflower. LOL! I knew you meant Elrond, but couldn't help tweaking you a bit about it. ;)

I got a good chuckle out of the tittle and was thinking in jest how Olórin could be the Wizard in that case. Quite a surprise to see him show up indeed as well. I wonder if he is hanging around in the hospital as Oliver Grey more often? A hospital seems just like the place where you could find him, giving comfort to others. This world is all new for Elrond and I loved both his reaction to everything strange, as well as his ability to put aside his marvel and offer help there where it is needed. I think he has the attitude that will help him adjust very soon. And I love it how subtle his strength it and how easily it comes to him: keep the children calm? Just sing a Song of Power for that. He also does a good job of handling the parents with Olórin and Erica Stillman seems to have her priorities right concerning their daughter and the Elves. Hopefully, more people of Wiseman will consider that after this accident. It's lovely seeing how proud Elrond is of his children and how he's not above looking to them for guidance. I also think he and Kyle Stoner wil get along well, it seems Elrond has certainly gained his respect in the way he has been handling things. So Elrod Ronaldson it is. Now Celebrían have to come up with a mortal name and the Ronaldson family is al ready to stay. Now just convince some Powers about that idea.... Author Reply: Hi FV_Whisper. Elrond should do well fitting in once he gets used to things. He has every right to feel proud of his sons and I think you're right that he and Kyle will get along quite well. I'm sure he and Celebrían will have no problems convincing the Powers to let the stay. I have a feeling the Powers are already anticipating the requests of some of the visitors to be able to stay. We'll have to see. Thanks for reviewing. It's very much appreciated.
