| A wizard named Radagast the Brown was sometimes thought to be just a clown LOL!!! Well, from his looks (in the movies) one might guess so. But never underestimate Radagast. He had a different task than the others and I'm quite sure he accomplished it. Author Reply: And in the books Saruman called him a fool and was very disparaging about him. I tend to agree, actually. But the rhyme scheme meant I went with the more conventional view. And even if he stayed in M-e, he may have had his reasons.(I once read a fic--alas, I can recall neither author nor title--in which it turns out that Radagast was Merlin.) | |
