| Oh my, this chapter is heartbreaking, but so exquisitely written.  You take us into the depths with Frodo, and back outwards to the light.  I appreciate how you wove Frodo's experience with Sam into his experience with Boromir. there was little he could do but raise his voice to join the song. I find this line truly beautiful. It speaks for our lives as well, doesn't it? Author Reply: Le hannon, my dear! Glad you enjoyed it. I think sometimes it must take great strength to sing amidst such ruin. I liked the way it came out here, so close to the hell it might have been for Frodo at that time, but also the loving presence of a rescuer also.
