It’s lovely to get a glimpse of the people and culture of Dol Amroth. Though not sure I would want a dead shark staring at me from the table :-D, I absolutely believe that would be a thing here. Reading about clam soup and the coming feast makes my current salad seem a bit inadequate …

Conquistadora! I love this! So nice to see Thranduil so happy and at peace with himself and those around him. I do have one question though. Have you set aside "We were young once, Book III." It has been quite the undertaking. I've now read all three books and I am quite hooked. But I won't push...Pleaaaase write more...Damn I said I wouldn't bug ya and there I go! Stay safe! MM Author Reply: Thanks! I promise We Were Young Once isn't abandoned. It just lies fallow for months (years) at a time. I was actually working on an update for it last night, but it's going to be one of those really long chapters so it may be a while yet. ;) Thanks for reading!

Ah. A well-realized, fully fleshed picture emerges. I can only imagine meeting such a legendary figure. I'd probably be completely tongue-tied, LOL! Looking forward to reading more.

Interesting beginning. I enjoyed the extrapolation of Gondor's prosperity in the postwar early Fourth Age, and the look at the preparations of Imrahil's feasting of the Elvenking. Tolkien never called Legolas "Prince of Ithilien", though. That title is Faramir's alone. Author Reply: So glad you're enjoying it! Tolkien never called Legolas much of anything, but we'll grant you the point. We meant he was "a" prince of Ithilien, not THE Prince of Ithilien. :)

So - shark for dinner - but no hákarl? (That would certainly have put curl into the chest hairs of the guests. Though that dish takes 6-12 weeks to ... ahem, prepare.) So this chapter, and the next, describes the food, some fashion choices, and the incompareble perfection of Elves, especially Thranduil. And Bad Guys are planning stuff.

His own family history is being confirmed this evening. I can appreciate his excitement!

Well, I have to agree with Imrahil here...those elves are incredible ;) It's fun to see our beloved Thranduil and Legolas from the point of view of someone who isn't very familiar with elves.
