I would like to add that Haleth who's real name is Silmarien is named after an ancestress (Elros's great great grand-daughter), so Haleth in my opinion would be considered Silmarien II. Also, in chapter 19 during the flashback part Haleth's uncle was saying to Amandil "it shall be done as you say father" and more dialogue. Then four lines down Amandil says "Elendil, we have discussed this time and again." In other parts of the story Haleth (Silmarien) referred to Isildur and Anarion as cousins and Amandil as grandfather. This leads me to believe that Haleth's mother or father is the sibling of Elendil even though in the family tree Elendil is an only child, see this web address:(http://www.tolkiengateway.net/wiki/House_of_Elros). However, I do know that this information is authors creativity at work.

A bearded elf? This is the first time I have ever read of one, but then why not? Poor Haleth is really having a time of it. Adjusting to a new lifestyle is not always easy. Speaking of Haleth, how are you doing?

Greetings, Haleth. Thank you for the update - it was badly needed. I am very glad Haleth found and elf who reminds an angry bear in temper if not in looks. At least now she can snap at someone and get snapped at back. Idril is obviously game for borrowing and other dubious but efficient behaviour - she and Haleth can do great deeds together :) The chapter is very funny, and like a previous reviewer, I do suspect Olwe's plotting behind Cirdan's nice offer. New interesting hints about Inglor's standing in the Valinorean community. So he is almost, but not quite, persona non grata? Not quite received in the best society, like Haleth was in Middle-Earth? What has he done? Somehow I feel his misdeeds, whatever they are, run farther back than just bringing a second-born to Aman. An born at the age of the Trees? How come Idril doesn't know him then. I assume everyone knew everyone in Tirion. Looking forward to the next chapter.

YAY!!! A new chapter!!! :-) Part of me is wondering if Olwë and Círdan planned the whole thing with the boats to prevent any grumbling from the elves Olwë governs... I love the image of Idril Being compared to a bear. It makes me think of Haleth a bit. I wonder if it is a family trait?

Ah, Haleth and her "borrowing". LOL! I'm glad Círdan stepped up to help them with it. A great chapter that had me chuckling throughout. Hope you update soon.

Yes! Leave it to Haleth to overcome all obstacles by 'the only means' possible! ;-) I chuckled more than once and learned a great deal about the history of the Elves from this chapter. I suppose those who are better steeped in their history have already figured out who Inglor actually is, but I'm perfectly content remaining ignorant until you decide to 'reveal all' - I love the anticipation of never knowing what's going to happen next! Hope the next chapter will come a little faster than this one - I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what Haleth does next!! :-) PS - Cirdan's OK in my books!

Yea! an update. I love this chapter. I love the "borrowing of the ship". Please update soon. Really can't wait for our hero's, to finally have their wedding. I still don't think that the undying lands will ever be the same. Which is a good thing, stops thing from getting boring. If this chapter anything to go by. Love Galathil.
