This is the greatest evidence that Frodo had grown so much - going from wishing Bilbo had killed Gollum, a stranger Frodo had never met, to giving mercy and forbidding revenge against someone who had just tried to kill him, a stranger he met in the most terrible way. His heart had completely changed, a good that the Ring never intended but through which he learned much. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: One can choose to recoil from life, to hate those who offer such evil behavior, or to gain in compassion, and that was Frodo's choice in the end. Well deserved was his acceptance amongst the Wise, don't you agree?

I like this very much. From Frodo's POV there is no "true evil". Everyone deserves a second chance to start a new, better life. That has nothing to do with a lack of experience. It is an attitude and a belief! Author Reply: How well you put it, Andrea! Thanks for this insight!
