At last I am getting some time to catch up on all the new stories and updates here at SoA! I'm so glad to see him begin to open up to his family, and especially to Halbarad, who will become his best friend! Author Reply: I still have to read all of the Yule Exchange stories. It has been a tumultuous last few weeks, and our current cold snap here in the great Pacific Northwest ain't helping.

Oh Aragorn, your long list of names is just getting started! :-P I definitely can understand about Ivorwen's back. Mine is often slightly out, and you really don't notice those small tweaks until someone (the chiropractor in my case, not Aragorn:-P) goes right to it and starts pushing on it... and then it feels so good to have it fixed. :-) No matter how Aragorn finally returned to his larger family and his people, I think it must have been somewhat awkward. There is no graceful way to extricate oneself from what was done in order to protect him.... But it seems like Aragorn/Ari/Estel/Peridhrion is making a good start of it. :-) Thanks for writing! Author Reply: I apologize for taking so long to respond, but I'm just getting back to finishing the last few chapters of this story now that the holidays are over and other responsibilities are now dealt with. My late husband had known training as a masseur, and so often I rejoiced that he could carefully put back what the stresses of a day might have caused to get just out of place. Yes, his list of names and titles is beginning to grow, and we know how long it will eventually be. But I do think that there would be a number of changes both sides would have had to accept and deal with as he acclimated himself to his new position in life and his new responsibilities. Thank you so!

Great chapter. Loads of insight into Aragorn's character and also the first big steps of the growth of his connection to Hallborad. Great job as always on this, looking forward to the next installment and thankful for your hard work on this one. Author Reply: Sorry it's taken so long to respond, but it's been a busy last two months with little energy to keep all things going as promptly as they ought to go. Thank you, and look for a new chapter probably within a few days. Just had to get the honorarium to the good Professor finished and posted.

To go from just having Naneth and Adar, Elladan and Elrohir to finding out you have all these relatives just waiting to meet you has to be overwhelming. Still waiting for Orominion to find The Sword That Was Broken in Peredhiron's pack. Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Oh, that's coming, but there's still at least one other chapter to come first. Heh! And yes, his family is suddenly taking on new dimensions he must learn to deal with! Thanks so!

What a beautiful, satisfying chapter. All of the conversations ring true. I especially enjoyed this bit of Not so unlikely) banter: “So, do you see yourself gathering names and nicknames and titles all through your lifetime as was common to the old Elves?” Peredhrion turned on his side to better see Halbarad’s face. “Why shouldn’t I?” They grinned at one another. “I can see it now,” Halbarad said cheerfully. “One day they will need an entire volume just to hold all of the names they call you by.” Author Reply: Thank you so, and thank you for your patience in awaiting a response to this. Holidays, work, and other commitments and all that. And Puppy Day is put off for another two weeks, as Narcissa is just newly weaned. At eight weeks this is perhaps delayed, but she's in fine health and has a vigorous wag to her tail! As soon as I can get them I'll try to post her photos alongside those of Brendi, Pandora, and Melia, the last two of blessed memory.

And poor Halbarad is given this vision - and we all know he never sees it with his own eyes... More lovely story. Thank you. Author Reply: I believe he would wish to know Aragorn would come to that estate, and would rejoice to know it could indeed be so. And thank you so, Freyalyn.
