Oh my, what a fix! Yet I have the feeling that once more, there are other forces at work.

The story is getting mysterious. Why were they being herded to the abbey? I agree with Alex, it took a lot of courage to reveal their true heritage.

Oh, dear--once again held against their wills within an order's walls! Now, what have Eru and/or the Valar in store for them this time?

Awww, Shrewsbury Abbey! Even without Brother Cadfael present, the mere mentioning it gives me warm, fuzzy feelings! Abbot William seems to have been a wise man indeed, although I don't trust his prior a bit.

Those boys led most interesting lives. Historians would love them. Thanks again for all your hard work.

Well, that went far better than I expected, though I'm rather shocked they let the cat out of the bag. Desperate times, desperate measures I suppose. Let's hope it doesn't come back to bite them. Re: the baptism they so wish to avoid, at least they're old enough not to scream their heads off at a bit of a dunking (or in my case, toddler water sprinkling because I was a naughty child).

Hoping all is well with you!

Well I can't say I blame them for not wanting to be baptized again but it would solve a couple of problems:

A they are baptized Christians and B Holy Water does not bother them!

So out of the frying pan and into the warming oven?

Lynda
