| Yikes. This certainly isn’t a good look for Gondor. I hope Gwaelas will be alright (I am not completely sure I remember.) And of course the others as well. What an awful end to what was supposed to be a time I’d great rejoicing. I love the song of the Elves, and that they have gathered around Faramir’s tent as well. Gondor will need to work fast to head off this diplomatic disaster. | |

| Oh, I was worried about Gwaelas ... I hope this means he’ll recover. What a terrible mess. Thranduil is handling this with as much calm and dignity, I think, as can be expected from him — especially considering the injury and death of those who have been with him for so long. I hope that they’ll take some clue from the fact that Faramir was obviously meant to be there too ... but with so much going on who knows. | Ahhh where to begin? This whole story was lovely and I quite like your Thranduil. Congratulations to you and your husband, the Imrahil fan. | It is probably a good thing that there are currently no more chapters or I would be up all night reading this. I find the thought of 4th age Gondor to be so fascinating and I love how you are showing so many different characters and their roles in the new age. (Also I really like your Thranduil. He's the perfect mix of the dangerous king Tolkien warns us about and the good Elven ruler he had to have been to earn his people's loyalty.
