How lovely to see that you are still with us. Still posting on SOA, and still "within the Circles" as some say here. I have probably never reviewed any of your stories, but I have read many of them over the years. The last thing of yours I remember reading was the series of drabbles you wrote about the Hobbit movies, so it has been awhile. I have spurts of trying to spend less time in Middle Earth and more in Modern. But I keep coming back, especially to SOA. As for this story. I always thought that Faramir and Boromir must have had that kind of a connection. Each of them insisted they be the one to go on the Quest, in order to "protect" the other. I have no doubt that Faramir was "with" Boromir spiritually, when Boromir died. And you have shown us how F thought and felt as he saw his brother's funeral boat come to him, then slowly drift on. A clear, intimate picture. Author Reply: Wow thanks so much for the kind review ! I have lost my muse for a while but think it’s back since I’m rereading the books. I also am busy with modern life or real life but really miss middle earth. It’s been a long time since college with different priorities ! Thanks for liking my drabbles ! I keep coming back as well and am glad that there are still fans that enjoy fanfic and discussing the books .we are never truly gone when we love middle earth so much ! I love exploring Faramir post quest since he really lost a lot and how he recovers would be part of another fic that I wrote and never posted here. Stay tuned ! Thank you for leaving a review !

"Dreamlike it was, and yet no dream, for there was no waking." You have taken Faramir's description to Frodo and condensed it down to the essence of the scene, which you have aptly named as grief. Beautifully rendered. Author Reply: Thank you so much ! It is heartbreaking to lose a brother like that and I just hope I captured it adequately .
