| I enjoy this because it is a look inside the mind of one of the characters that most people don’t write too much about. He’s very dark and you capture that very well here. The way he views her is very uncomfortable to think about but this manages to capture his loneliness and the evil that is it in him all in one drabble. Great writing. | A bit of premature gloating, I see. Grima is not as powerful as he imagines here, and in the end gets the ending he perhaps deserves, there on the steps of bag End. He ought to have opted out of his relationship with Saruman early on. Author Reply: Yes, he could've found a better path if he had not followed Saruman in his exploits in the Shire. Poor man. I wonder if he was ever redeemable in anything he did? He is an interesting character. | |
