“Not if I can help it.” Famous last words? Does she have to play her flute to summon Wan? If she loses the flute somehow, is she up the crick without a paddle? But if you follow your head and do what you know to be right, you will not regret it. This piece of advice reminded me of something my hobbits say, at times, when discussing choices to be made: that the right choice is not always the easiest, but it is always the right thing to do. Once again, I really enjoy your descriptions and the details you use to enrich the world you are portraying. Few men, eh? Have the majority marched off to fight for the Dark Lord? Oh no! She's been discovered! (Quite the cliffhanger. Well done.) Author Reply: It's so nie to have your running commentary and to see what bits you pick up on! ;-)

Thanks for another interesting chapter Virtuella. Jarin has begun to grow on me; I really like her boldness. But I do hope she doesn't come to any harm for spying on the conversation. I have a question: does Sauron not realise that there are servants of Manwe in the form of dragons in this part of Middle Earth? He may not pay much attention to the people of Kûz but surely some spy must have mentioned the presence of dragons. Take care Leithian Author Reply: He may well know, but I don't think he would do anything about it. He doesn't seem to do anything about the eagles anyway. I'm glad you're starting to like Jarin. ;-)
