The King and the Steward  by Itarille 4 Review(s)

I love the unspoken thoughts interspersed with the spoken dialogue, the growing understanding, the developing relationships along with the established relationship between Faramir and Húrin, the memories of the past... Well done. Here, too, seems to be the sprouting of the seed that will culminate in Faramir being named Prince of Ithilien.

(Might we see something of Beregond's having all penalty remitted and being assigned Captain of Ithilien? How I love that particular facet of the overall story...)

Author Reply: Lindelea,
I'm so glad to hear from you!
I'm happy you liked this chapter. Yes, Aragorn was already thinking of the princedom here.
Oh, you loved Beregond! I'm working on a chapter about Beregond, though it's for another story, and not about him being assigned Captain of the White Company. I hope you'll enjoy it when it's ready.

It's wonderful to imagine the King and his Steward understanding one another so well, whether in spoken or unspoken words.

Author Reply: "...the King and his Steward understanding one another so well, whether in spoken or unspoken words" -- you've described it so perfectly.
Thank you!
