how can you deny errol a safe bed to sleep in and let;s face it he probably wants the wuiet more than merry. Author Reply: LOL Yes, sometimes I am very certain that Errol must really long for peace and quiet. Thank you so much for stopping by to read this little story. It is much appreciated.

I hadn't read this before. I'm so glad Shirebound put it in today's Vaults of Fluffdom recs. It's so heartwarming and sweet. Author Reply: What a surprise to find a reveiw for this little story! Thank you. This was the very first story that I ever wrote involving 'Errol' and at the time I thought it was a one-shot deal. Thank you for the reveiw. And I shall have to thank Shirebound for including this one in her 'Vaults of Fluffdom'.

I love Errol - what a good friend for Pip - and what a delight to see Merry grow up in one little moment... the last line was delightful! Author Reply: This was Errol's first appearance in one of my tales and I never dreamed that he'd turn up again in any of them, but he seems to have been a very insistant bunny because he has shown up quite a bit! I'm glad you like him.

Not a baby minder, is he? Ah, poor Merry. Author Reply: Yes, no idea what he is in for yet. Thanks for reviewing.

How precious! I love Pippin's stuffed rabbit named Errol. I also love the train of thought that starts with Merry thinking he's almost grown (at the ripe old age of twelve) and shouldn't have to have a little Pipsqueak in bed with him, to realizing that now he's big, it's his turn to protect the smaller one :) Author Reply: Merry is always the protector and I think he just noticed how frightened Pippin, er, Errol was and decided to step in. LOL Glad you enjoyed this one.

Too cute, Grey Wonderer!! Hehehe... "He is instantly burrowing down under my blankets and putting his cold toes on my leg." - GW I loved that!! LOL.. I savored every word! I have always loved Merry's endearment; "Pipsqueak". Very lovely! Pippinfan Author Reply: So glad that you liked it. Merry was right when he suspected that once Pip got in the door he would be there for good and all. Trouble was Merry didn't realize at that point that he would want Pippin there. LOL

How sweet! The way Errol "spoke" to Merry and not Pippin was cute, sometimes it is easier to pretend it is someone else with the problems! Very cute, thank you! Author Reply: Pip wanted Merry to think that he was brave and so he used Errol a bit. I don't suppose the bunny minded too much and Merry was good enough to play along. Thanks for all of the lovely reviews. Very encouraging!

Awww! Naturally Merry can't resist Pip for long. And I love Errol! (Where *did* you come up with "Errol"?) So cute and funny, and a nice change of pace to have it in Merry's voice. Author Reply: I, like Merry, have no idea why the bunny's name is Errol. It just sounded right at the time. It was interesting writing this as Merry. Glad it came off well. I may try it again sometime.

Big ahhh. It's a good thing that Errol needed someone to protect him from the dangers of the dark, or maybe Pippin and Merry wouldn't have grown up so close. I'm glad Merry weakened - and he could try ear plugs. Author Reply: Thanks for reading. I only hope for Merry's sake that Errol doesn't snore.
