Frodo has a point! I imagine Faramir's fascination with Mithrandir's stories and his enthusiasm for more would win over even the grumpiest of wizards!

Awwww. Faramir would have striking grey eyes. I like the allusions to the seasons; Tolkien identifies Faramir with green trees and the spring, and Eowyn with winter and cold; so they're an especially fitting combination. Feel free to continue explorations of how Eowyn sees Faramir, it's all quite good. Author Reply: I'm very glad to hear the seasons work. I especially wnated to sue them here because the winter association with Eowyn is so strong in the HoH part, and then later Faramir speaks of building a garden in ithilien. I've always thought of that contrast as so incredibly beautiful. Thank you:)

That the eyes of each should speak so to the other is only right, of course. And of course the lover will have different images in mind than the minstrels will weave. Author Reply: I'm very glad to hear that works. Thank you:)

Some shadows still fall deeply, even in the joy of peace and prosperity. Though I'm sure that Faramir will not shrink from revealing the place of Denethor's fall and his own near-death, the nadir of their house, in the future, when Elboron is old enough to understand it. I love the imagery of Faramir as a good father, taking the child Elboron all around the White City - the people were always fond of Faramir, and must have been so pleased to see him happy with his little boy. Author Reply: Yes, I do think he'll tell elboron about it. Faramir's not the sort of man who would seek to cover things up no matter how unpleasant. And he'd rtaher it comes from him than from elboron, but as you say only when elboron is old enough. By which time, Faramir would have had time too to at least try and deal with it. I'm very glad that Faramir as a father works well. I quite love Elboron, and I think in him Faramir would have had a lot of happiness!

Eowyn wasn't the only one who had some thawing and warming to do, which is quite reasonable, given the h*ll Faramir had endured. A lovely look at two lovers beginning to let the sunshine in. Author Reply: Yes indeed:) both need to wamr up for sure:) Thank you. I'm delighted you liked this!

If he were less severe with this younger son he might indeed see and hear that smile aimed at himself. Alas for Denethor's failures. Author Reply: Indeed. They certainly seemed to have some distance:( Thanks for reviewing:)

Love will conquer all for these two, and Eowyn and Faramir both will find joy again and rejoice in it together. Author Reply: :) Yes, they will indeed! Thank you! I'm glad you liked this one:)

A thought, I must admit. Yet he now becomes the hope, and will join with the other now coming to the aid of the city. Author Reply: Yes:o but I don't know if at that moment he felt all that hopeful. thanks:)
