| Great piece; encapsulating the horror of battle into a short span of words. I think the wounded man must be Faramir; but it could be a Swan Knight, or a man of Harad, almost any horseman. Author Reply: I'm glad to hear it works. It was a standalone piece I'd written much earlier but hadn't really fitted in anywhere so I made a drabble of it:) It's intended to be Faramir but yes, you're right it could be others in the battle. To my Faramir-preferring mind though it'll always remain Faramir:) | |

| I like the quick flashes of images here: the orb, the fighting, the animals, the sails. Like a thirty-second film, telling your story very vividly and concisely. Author Reply: Thank you again:) I'm glad the effect of scenes flashing works. I think in that state of mind, Denethoir would have only registered all he saw as brief scenes, but they would be all the important scenes. | |
