LOL...that was great! I just love the bantering between Pippin and Merry--no matter what sort of mischief they get into, its there in the forefront. And Gandalf's thoughts about it all--wonderful. I love these tales you weave--a bright spot in a grey world right now. Thanks for sharing!

That was great! I like that Gandalf was listening in on them and even was quite amused by it but wouldn't let them know. They were you described them talking to each other as enemies yet hsould any one else say it they would be angry. I liked the whol thing about their features! I was trying to muffle my laughing, but it didn't alway work. Thanks for the story it was lots of fun!

This is a very well written piece....

Merry and Pippin are in trouble, and of courese, Gandalf caught them....
Merry blames Pippin, but soon Pippin turns it around and Merry is oartialy blaming himself.
Pippin sure knows how to use Merry to his own advantage...
I love the observation from gandalf, you can see how well, he loves them, and is amuzed by them as well...

I love the scene where Pippin is telling Merry his ears are uneven and then Merry calls his nose one of a weasal.... It's is a very amuzing and you can picture it in you mind....
They teo love each other dearly, but each can tell like to argue a great deal.... It's like a game to them....

A very great read...

Update soon...

"and so it begins" nice line! Though they don't know it, that's when it begins for Frodo, Merry, Pippin, and every other hobbit in the Shire...and there's Merry and Pippin arguing with each other (affectionately, of course) Cute, very nice chapter. Keep writing more, I love these stories!

Author Reply: Thank you for reading and reviewing them. I will probably keep this going as long as the ideas continue to come to me.

Movie-verse is ok. This was funny. I love their bickering and Gandalf's insights. Merry does always seem to be apologizing to Pippin doesn't he?

Author Reply: I always like to post a warning when I go with the movie because some really don't like stories based on the films. I like either if they are well written and interesting. Glad this gave you a laugh. Thanks for the review.

I love the Gandalf-ian point of view. He comes over as seriously fond of hobbits - especially wicked Tooks and Brandybucks.

The way Merry and Pippin insult each other is a sign of true friendship - you really have to trust each other to be so deliberately aggravating.

Author Reply: I think Gandalf loved all of the hobbits very much but was just a bit too gruff with them most of the time for them to notice. I do like his sweet moments with Frodo in the books and with Bilbo too. As to the insults, yes they aren't the sort of thing that you would allow from just anyone. Only a close friend would put up with that sort of nonsense. Thanks for reading.
