Armariel, mainly the author of depressing angsty poems~~~{~@

Author Reply: Glad you had fun reading this one. I admire anyone who can write a poem. Mine never turn out the way that I want them to. I always sound a bit like Dr. Suess on a very bad day. LOL

Excellent! and LOL! I haven`t read many stories about Merry`s tendency to fuss about his clothes but this was a great catch on it. Merry would really fold his waistcoats after colour, lol. And trust Pippin to show that he knows what he`s talking about when everyone else thinks he has nothing to say! This was truly lovely! :D

Author Reply: Thank you for the review! I did think that Merry might have a sense of style about him and that Pippin's sisters just might have taught him a thing or two about matching colors. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Ah, but I LOVE this one. Yes, the brother of so many sisters is going to know style and colors! Lovely moment between the three of them.

Author Reply: All of those sister had to be good for something, didn't they? I am quite sure that Pippin got his fair share of useful fashion tips while growing up.

Oh, I love it! I can always trust to you to get a humorous, yet tender story perfectly matching the characteristics of our hobbits. Go on, let yourself be flattered. The story brightened up my day. Keep up with these Took-and-Brandybuck stories.

Author Reply: I am seriously flattered. Thank you! Nothing like a great review to brighten my day. And I am posting another one to this tonight. LOL

Bwahahahahha!!!

O, GW! I *LOVED* this one! This has to my all-time favorite of all your wonderful stories...Ah! I just love it! Pippin's revelation at the end was *perfect*, I always imagined him to be savvy with the lasses because of his older sisters, and his reasoning was perfect, lol!

And thi reminded me SO much of myself:

("Yes, I do," Merry said, frowning at him. "I don't leave my clothing scattered about the floor in small piles like someone I could name. I don't select my clothing by picking it up off of the floor and checking for stains or rummaging about in the bottom of my drawers for something that fits. I have my things organized. I don't go about smelling my things to see if I have worn them recently." ) LOL

I am more of a Pippin than a Merry here with my clothing lol. I loved this bit:

' the chance to marry the only male hobbit in all of Middle Earth who folds his clothing." ' LoL. I am sure he's right.

LoL and this: 'Not only will you be the best dressed hobbit in the Shire, but you are also the second best looking." ' Pippin's such a little prat.

You characterized them all *perfectly* in this one, what with Merry's anal organization and Pippin's carelessness (though he does know what he's doing when he puts his mind to it -- though people may doubt this until they are witness to the scenario themselves) and Frodo's patience with both of them. LoL, great job! I noticed this one was up for an MEFA, and rightfully so! I will be sure to review it there too once the time comes. LoL great job... I am going to be thinking about this one for the rest of the day!

Author Reply: Thank you, thank you! This one came about in part because I am bad to buy the same item of clothing in several different colors just because I like it. LOL I am more like Pippin when it comes to putting things away neatly, but I think I shop like Merry.
I always thought that the older sisters would have given Pip a bit more information than he might have wanted about matching colors, styles, and such. This did give him a chance to surprise both older cousins at times.
Thank you so much for the lovely reviews and I have plans to vote for a certain story about 'Fairie Blood' and in fact, have done a tenative review.....LOL

I look forward to more of your stories soon. Still re-reading "Tango" from time to time.

Very nice, and quiet amuzing...Merry and his waistcoats. You should think he is the best dressed in the shire.
He can't decide which one to wear to ask Estella to marry him...Poor Pippin, finally had to take it into his own hands. And he pick the right one...A clever Took at that...
Nice story,enjoyable read....

That was great! Merry having all of those waistcoats and knowing where they all are. Such organization! Frodo trying to help and then not sure what was really best. I do admit I'm more like Pippin, dress for comfort! Of course Merry was about to ask a very important question it is probably a good thing he didn't show up looking like Pippin, although I'm sure it wouldn't convince Estella not to marry him. Such a wonderful piece, I loved hte humor! Thank you!

Author Reply: I am more like Pippin with my clothes too. I am something of a slob at times. I am so glad that you liked this one and I thank you for reading and reviewing it.

"...The chance to marry the only male hobbit in all of Middle Earth who folds his clothing."
Oh my, I have tears in my eyes - from laughing! That's so funny!
And seeing Frodo, who also puts a lot of thought on his clothing, being overwhelmed by the variety of waistcoats in Merry's wardrobe, that's really amazing! I always thought, that Merry is an extraordinary hobbit ;-)

Author Reply: There's no one in Middle Earth like Merry and certainly no one with more waistcoats. LOL Thanks for reading and I am very glad it made you laugh! I just love when that happens.

BodkinReviewed Chapter: 28 on 4/18/2005
Very clever. I love picturing super-scruffy Pippin being an expert on style and taste, courtesy of three older bossy sisters, while Merry and Frodo go for the more garish colours. And Merry having stacks of waistcoats carefully colour coded by shade. (Does Estella know this? She might think twice about wedding someone so . . . organised.)

Author Reply: Estella may be in for a surprise at that. LOL At least he puts his things away. Trouble is Pippin will have to come by and advise him on which one to wear each day. Thanks for the review!
