FireStorm  by Lindelea 16 Review(s)

Ah, this was a more Pippin-centric approach. It's very interesting to see those two storylines in comparison.

I'm going to read "Striking Sparks" next, and then look further. And I'm very relieved that Pippin will get well again!

(I do have a tendency to re-visit parts of the storyline, writing from different points of view, as a sort of challenge--can I pull it off and not bore a reader who's already read it from one POV? ...and it allows me to use background material that would otherwise lie discarded on the cutting room floor)

Thanks again!

OOOHHHH! Love it! Love it! Pippin putting folks in their places by reminding them of his. This is the Pippin I love.

Good--natural talents being trained and appropriatesly used. I am liking Thain Pippin better and better as time goes on.

Good--the Thain as he OUGHT to be. Love it!

BTW, congratulations on the nominations for the MEFA. I was going to put in "The King's Commission" myself, but someone beat me to it!

And the gentlehobbit for whom they were searching, was, of course, Pippin himself, I suppose? Love it.

I think my intended review just went missing.

A fine look at a strong woman who knows her family, people, and their needs better than they themselves do. Excellent writing, as usual.

Love the speculations here, and the balance of anger, resentment, and love and longing I hear in the dialogue.

Alas, poor Pippin, who is going to have to prove himself--and prove himself, and prove himself, although we already know he will do very well indeed.

From Frodo, Sam, and Aragorn, of course.

Author Reply: Ah, yes, mustn't leave Aragorn off the list!

Love this look at Pippin going home.
