Baggins!  by Grey Wonderer 5 Review(s)

Pippin and Dennis the Menace have a good deal in common! Heh! I loved rereading this one about the "old shoe."

Author Reply: I love the way little ones can miss-hear a thing and give it a whole new meaning. Bilbo was just lucky that Pip didn't give him away.

“He thinks he was playing with older lads but mine were way older than his! Lobelia must be at least a hundred or so, isn’t she?”
LOL!!! What would the Shire be without Pippin? He may be a wee bit too quick with his talking, but he knows all about fair play and he did not give Bilbo away! A real good lad ;-)
And Larner is right, I think. Your little Pippin has a lot in common with Dennis. I saw that movie only two days ago on TV. Just great!

Author Reply: I have just got to see this Dennis the Menace film! Both you and Larner make it sound very entertaining. Looks like I just might have to rent it. Thanks for reading and I am so glad that you enjoyed this.

This reminded me of the Dennis the Menace movie a few years back. Now, if only he'd demonstrated on Otho how to properly tie someone so they CAN'T escape and then managed to get them into the fire and the river and everywhere else it would have been perfect!

And so Lobelia is an old shoe, is she? I think from now on Bilbo is going to think of shoes he sees with a bit of nostalgia! Heh!

Author Reply: I have never seen the Dennis the Menace movie but now I am curious about it. Fires? Rivers? Folks being tied up? Sounds like quite a film to me. I do think that Bilbo would have a good laugh now and again about this since he managed to get away clean in spite of Pippin. Thanks for reviewing!

Just right for a cup of coffee story GW! *g*. Little Pippin really is a bright as abutton. But I thought that Pantomime season was over! Visions of 'he's behiiinnnd you' 'No you can't......yes you can' come to mind reading this story and Otho and Lobelia as the Ugly Sisters from Cinderella have put a grin on my face the size of Christmas!

Author Reply: The no you can't, yes I can bit was fun to write and I almost went too far with it. I wanted Pippin to bring out the inner-child in Otho and I am guessing that as a child Otho was a little snot. I wanted it to be close for Otho and for him to nearly go to far and forget that he was being tormented by a child. LOL Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for reviewing!

Oh, dear! Old shoe! But this had to be my favorite:
Pippin looked at him for a moment and then he said, “Did you know that when you shout your face gets really red and your eyes pop out?”
LOL! Pippin is such a dear. I never thought it possible, but I actually felt just the teensiest bit sorry for Otho. No one deserves to have Lobelia mad at them.

Author Reply: Lobelia is one dangerous hobbit and I am very sure that Otho often wishes that she were someone else's problem. This time though, poor Otho had to deal with Lobelia and Pippin! I'd say Bilbo was very lucky to be up that tree, wouldn't you? LOL Thanks for the review!
