This is still as much fun now as it was when you first posted it. Thank you for the laughs. They have been in short supply lately. I love your sense of humor. Author Reply: Thank you, GW! I always worry that the humor will wear off after the first readings, so I'm honored you still find this funny after all these years. Don't forget Merry's attempt at revenge - A Day in the Life. :D

you realize that for those of us witha twisted sense of humor we are going to go around planning on de-frocking our favorite hobbits? hmm what a yule present. Author Reply: Nekkid hobbits are always fun! They get to be innocent, and we get to be anything but!

I love the end of this!! it's so funny, me and my friends all have nicknames (Im pippin,) and I can picture my friend who's nickname is frodo, i can soo picture her doing something like that to one of us. Author Reply: Hullo Pippinsgirl! I'm very glad you enjoyed this story! It's always a pleasant surprise to get a new review on an older story and to know that it's still amusing people.

*giggling hysterically* Oh my goodness! Frodo is sooo wicked! LOL! I would so love to see Merry in a dress, especially *that* dress! LOL! And I can just imagine what Pippin is saying right about now! Sam is a very good babysitter. Can I borrow him the next time Mom asks me to watch my little siblings? And if I can't, do you think he'd be willing at least to teach me his techniques? :) Sometimes I think I'll never learn; most older sisters can manage their crew by sixteen, I should think. Yet Sam manages one of the most active children I can think of with so much ease. I love how he's so elder-brotherly and confiding with Pippin, and of course he doesn't let the supposed fact that Pippin is his "better" get in the way when it comes to looking out for him. I can't wait to read the sequel! This is a bit random, but reading all these wonderful stories has given me an idea not for one short story, but a whole series! *Ooo!* *ahem* As I was saying, a whole series centering around the Gamgee household. I know at least two (you and Elwen) have done much the same, but I never tire of reading about them, and I need to look more into that in my own universe. I think I'll dedicate it to you, Elwen, and Shirebound, since you've all had a hand in unconsciously urging me to start this. I'm still open to ideas, though, if there's something in particular you'd like. I'll not soon (if ever) forget "A Tale," for stories such as that seem few and far between at times. God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: Frodo is rather wicked, isn't he? He'll pay for this prank later but right now, he's feeling rather smug about himself. :) Sam has patience coming out of his ears, and that alone will help when it comes to having to babysit a child like Pippin. Frodo told Sam that he was in charge, so Sam had no problems taking the upper hand with his 'betters'. Besides, Sam's sensible enough to know that a child *needs* to be told what to do, not asked. Hope you enjoy the sequel! A whole series of Gamgee-centered stories! How lovely. I will look forward to that also. :)

Hahahahahaha! I loved it! Pippin reminds me of a boy i babysit, he's a handful, but still a great kid. I love reading fics where Frodo gets to play pranks, it makes me laugh cause everyone thinks he's so serious!! Elanor : ) Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad this gave you a laugh. Pippin is quite the handful, so much energy and mischief running through him. But he's a sweetie too which helps. It's hard to be or stay mad at Pippin for anything. My Frodo is a rascal at heart. No matter how much he may have grown up or how well Bilbo may have taught him to be diplomatic, Frodo will always be willing to play a harmless prank on his cousins. But of course, by keeping them few and far between, he can better catch his cousins off their guard. ;)

This is VERY good. I can picture it all...even up to Merry in a dress LOL! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. Author Reply: Thanks for reading! I'm glad you got a laugh out of this. I'll be writing the sequel here soon and hopefully have it posted within a couple of weeks. Merry won't soon forget this humiliation, lol!

How did I miss this??? Oh, that's beautiful! You know, only you could have drinking, bathing and cross-dressing in a fic and still have it be innocent. ^_- Go Frodo! Why am I reviewing when I said no more until there was more "Trouble With Love"? Author Reply: LOL, that's one way to look at it! Hobbits just have a way of making everything seem innocent and harmless, don't they? Frodo certainly reminded Merry who the master prankster is. ~_^

Ah, dear, the image of poor Merry like that has me absolutely guffawing! Pippin had it easy! Author Reply: Pippin had a pretty cush night compared to poor Merry. He just had to contend with Sam, who did nothing worse than neglect to make afters, lol. Merry will definitely be getting Frodo back for this one, I just don't know how yet. ;)

That was priceless! I loved every minute of it, but Merry's situation at the end was so final stroke of genius! You've outdone yourself with this one. Sam made short work of Pippin and Frodo had the last laugh on Merry. I'm very impressed. Loved it! Author Reply: Sam knows how to handle Pippin, in a way even his cousins can't seem to manage. Of course, Frodo and Merry are only children and were for the most part raised by themselves, so they missed out on all the things you learn when you have siblings. Just because Frodo's an adult now, doesn't mean he's forgotten how to have fun. Merry forgets that he learned all his skills from Frodo, but he won't be making that mistake again - not for awhile anyway. I'm so thrilled you're impressed! I can't come up with just plain funny stories very often, not like you can anyway, so that means a lot to me. And I just may have outdone myself with this one, though the next one I'm planning on posting should be good for a laugh or two also. Ah, Pippin, he just never learns. ~_^
