| This was hilarious! The vision of Gandalf hauling Aragorn off by his ear like a naughty schoolboy had me in hysterics! Poor Merry and Pip - Legolas' unfortunate encounter with the pipeweed was an accident. I foresee trouble.......... Author Reply: Me, too! | I'm back as I've been thinking. Is this map like Thorin's in the hobbit? Is the path only visible in a certain light and did Aragorn even know of it or has HE been slogging through the marshes all these years when he could have gone round? If so who did know and didn't let him into the secret? Perhaps the Twins or even Elrond himself. I can see yet another war starting - good thing they have to leave Rivendell as I am not sure it would survive Author Reply: You're close. | Oh my goodness! I have a problem with being chased by cows, but cows barely even HAVE teeth! From now on, I keep track of my clothes... it just gives me the heebie-jeebies! Keep it up. I wouldn't be so sure about that ;-) Aragorn's prank was perfectly planned, but my sympathy lies with Merry and Pippin! Poor dears! Gandalf's scolding was just great! “Follow me, lad, you have much explaining to do." LOL! The future king of Gondor and Anor being treated like a little boy! But, if you ask me, he deserves it! Author Reply: Yeah, these are hobbits, Aragorn, but not just any hobbits: they're Merry and Pippin. Fear them! I do feel sorry for them, too. I would have been terrified in their situation. | |
